Little Prince Blog Hop ~ Day 1

Happy Easter, everyone!  I hope you are all having a wonderful day and spending lots of time with family.  Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the Little Prince Blog Hop.  We're celebrating Jessica's little prince's 2nd birthday during this 3-day hop, and we have lots of boy-themed projects to share with you.  There is also a TON of blog candy along the way, so be sure to stop by each and every blog.

If you've arrived here from Debbie's Blog, then you're in the right place.  If you've just stumbled upon my post and would like to start from the beginning, head on over to Jessica's Blog

Okay, I decided to create some dinosaur-themed  party items.  Here they are:

I created 4 cupcake toppers and 4 matching treat bag toppers.  The dinosaur images came from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Dino-Mite Cutting Files Set.  I placed the images inside a circle shape in Silhouette Studio, filled the circle with a light blue color, and used the print and cut feature to cut the circles.  The scalloped circles came from this week's Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon's Friday Freebie: Scalloped Circles Cutting Files.  I ensured that the circles would match the dinosaur images perfectly by using the eyedropper tool to sample the colors from the clip art and fill the circles with those colors.  Then, I used the print and cut feature to cut them out.

I attached 4 of the dinosaur circles to lollipop sticks with foam tape and hot glue, sandwiching the sticks between the larger and smaller scalloped circles.  The cupcake wrappers were left over from another project, but they with with these dinosaurs perfectly, I think!

For the treat bag toppers, I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Oval Treat Bag Topper Cutting Files. I removed the oval and the strip that comes with the files, and I replaced it with the scalloped circles.  I embossed the topper with my Cuttlebug Mesh embossing folder. The topper is attached to the bag with a staple, which is easily hidden under the scalloped circle.

That's it, that's my project.  I think this theme could easily be expanded to include invitations, thank you cards, a banner, gift tags, etc., and a little boy could have an AWESOME dinosaur party. :)

Okay, now...how about some BLOG CANDY???

Design Team Day & New DT Members Announcement

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  The AWESOME members of my Design Team have done a wonderful job this week using files from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store, and I can't wait for you to see what they created.  But first, I have a project for you and some NEWS to share!  So, here's my project for this week:

I decided I wanted to use this week's Friday Freebie to create a quick and simple card this week.  The entire front of this card is created with the PPPR Easter Cross Cutting Files.  I embossed the cross with my Cuttlebug Forest Branches Embossing Folder, the yellow is embossed with the Herringbone Embossing Folder, the peach is embossed with the Candycane Stripe Embossing Folder, and the pink is embossed with a folder from the Simply Charmed Embossing Folder Set.  I assembled all of the cuts on the black background piece that comes with the cutting files set, and it was all done.  Easy peasy.  It really was easy because the yellow is all one piece, so I only had to piece together the pink and peach pieces and the cross.

Okay, now for the NEWS!!!  First of all, I'm so excited to say that all of the members of my Design Team have decided to stay.  YAY!  I can't tell you how happy I was to hear that!  So, that means that I only had a few spots open on the team...I didn't want our team to grow to more than 10 members.  So, I only had 3 spots to fill.  And, let me tell you, it was SOOOO hard to choose who to add to my little team.  All of the applicants are so talented, and it was really a difficult decision.  So, without further ado, here are the 3 new members of the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Design Team:

Tanya Adams from Nonna's Craft Corner

Brianna Loeffelbein from Happy Scrapper

Shannon Morgan from Designs of a Paddymack

YAY!!! Congratulations, ladies!  We're so happy to have you guys join our team!  Okay.  Now for this week's Design Team inspiration from our "veteran" DT members.  The new ladies will be joining in on the fun next time. :)  Click on the photos to check out all of the details for the projects and to leave some sweet comments for these talented ladies. :)

Dino-Mite and Borders 3 Cutting Files

Nicole from Teachdanz
Hoppy Easter and My Peeps Cutting Files

Barb from BugBites
Hoppy Easter Cutting Files

Home Sweet Home and Kite & Clouds Cutting Files

Ana Maria from Shorty Creations
Egg-cellent and Sentiment Spots 2 Cutting Files

Aren't these projects just AMAZING???  It would be so nice if you could take a moment to check out their blog posts and leave a sweet comment for them.  We all love sweet comments. :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back on Friday with a Friday Freebie for you, and I'm also participating in a couple of fun Blog Hops this weekend.  YAY!  I hope to see you there!

PPPR Welcome Home Blog Hop

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Welcome Home Blog Hop.  My wonderful PPPR Design Team decided to put on this hop to welcome me back home to the States (after I lived in Germany for 3 years).  We're using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files to create home-themed projects for the hop, so be sure to stop by each and every blog.  You'll find lots of inspiration and some fun blog candy along the way.

Of course, I couldn't help but join in on the fun!  Here's what I created for the hop:

I just had to use the new Home Sweet Home Cutting Files for this hop.  I got the house, the trees (except for the apple tree...that one's from the Apple Picking Cutting Files Set), the bushes, and the fence from that Home Sweet Home set.  The clouds are from the Kite & Clouds Cutting Files Set, and the card base is from last week's freebie: the Side Step Card Cutting Files.  I created the grass with my Martha Stewart Grass Punch, and the sweet sentiment is from the Pink by Design Home Sweet Home Stamp Set.

Here's what the card looks like head-on.  I hope you like it!

Okay...now, how about some BLOG CANDY????

One lucky blog hopper will win this fun set: a $15 Gift Certificate to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Graphics Store, Trendy Tape, 2 spools of Timeless Twine, a set of burlap shapes, and a 6x6 Little Yellow Bicycle Paper Pad.  YAY!  Here's what you need to do for a chance to win:

Pink by Design ~ Not a Card Friday

Happy Friday, everyone! It's time for another Pink by Design Not-a-Card Friday.  This time, I just wanted to add a little something to a cute Easter ornament I found at Michaels.  Here it is:

I got the sentiment from the new Pink by Design Bunny Half Pint Stamp Set.  Since it's an acrylic stamp, I was able to bend the stamp as I was putting it on my acrylic block so it would work nicely on a curved banner.  I stamped it in pink ink, cut a banner around it with scissors, and added a few rhinestones to the end.  Then, I simply taped some twine to the back and tied it onto the ornament.  Easy, peasy!  I hope you like my super simple and quick project.

You still have a little while to link up for this week's Easter Challenge at Pink by Design. You can link up at the end of this post.

Also, don't forget that there's a Design Team Call going on right now for my cutting files/graphic store, Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR).  You can find all of the details for the call here.  The deadline is Sunday night.

Oh, and there's a new Friday Freebie in the PPPR store.  This freebie will be available for free for one week, then it will be moved to the 99 Cent section of the store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you'll come back tomorrow for the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Welcome Home Blog Hop.  We'll have lots of great inspiration for you and some fun blog candy up for grabs. :)

Stroller ~ SOUS Die Cut Challenge March 22

Hey, everyone!  It's time for another Die Cut Challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches.  The challenge this time is to create a project using a die cut of a stroller.  Here's what I created:

I got this sweet 3D Stroller from the Silhouette Online Store.  It's really fun to put together.  The only problem is that my little candies were too heavy for the stroller...the little wheels couldn't take the weight. If I were to make this again, I'd cut several wheels and glue them together to create a stronger base.  Or, I'd cut them from chipboard.  I got the sentiment from the Pink by Design Sweet Baby Stamp Set.

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to Stuck on U Sketches to see what the other Design Team Members created.  Then, link up your own die cut stroller project. We can't wait to see what you create.

I'll be back later today with another project and a FREEBIE for you!  Have a great day!

A Good Egg ~ Cameo Creations Challenge

Hey, everyone!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge.  Yippee!!!  The challenge this time is to create an Easter-themed project using your Silhouette electronic cutter.  Here's what I came up with:

I got this little egg cup and egg from the new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Egg-cellent Cutting Files Set.  I added a face and bow that I got from the Peachy Keen March 2013 Stamp of the Month.  The fun sentiment is from Pink by Design's Hoppy Easter Stamp Set.

I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Layered Labels 2 Cutting Files Set to create the card base.  I just made a copy of the base shape of the file, mirrored it, and welded the two together. Then, I attached the copied base shape to the front of the card so the card would retain the shape of the label.  I added lots of ink and a pretty ribbon from 3 Girl JAM, and my card was all done.  I hope you like it!

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other design team members created.  Then, link up your own Silhouette-created Easter-themed project. :)  We can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll be back tomorrow with some projects and a freebie to share.  Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!!!  I have some new files in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store this week.  Here they are. Click on the photos to see these items in the store.

This Egg-cellent Cutting Files set is perfect for those Easter projects and layouts!

This Home Sweet Home Cutting Files set is so sweet and would work for all sorts of cards or scrapbook layouts.

Both of these sets include SVG, DXF, JPG, and PNG files.  You can also opt to get just the graphics set (just JPG and PNG) if you don't have an electronic cutter.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll be back tomorrow with another project for you.

24 Carrot Friend

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  It's another Pink by Design day!  YAY!  This week's challenge is to create an Easter project.  Here's my card for today:

I made this card to fit in a letter sized, #10 envelope.  It measures 4" x 9.5".  The carrots are from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Hoppy Easter Cutting Files.  I used the PNG files and just lined them up in Silhouette Studio.  Then, I printed it out, trimmed it, and attached it to the card.  The sentiment is from the Pink by Design Hoppy Easter stamp set, and I stamped it on the banner from the PBD Everyday Banners set.  I used a Fiskars border punch on the blue paper, added some lace ribbon and some ink, and my card was all done.

Have you linked up your Easter-themed project yet?  If not, you can link it up below.  We can't wait to see what you create!

Pink by Design Easter Challenge & a WINNER!!!

Happy Monday!!!  I hope your weekend was all you hoped it would be. :)  It's time for another challenge over a Pink by Design...YAY!  This week's challenge is to create an Easter-themed project.  SOOOO easy peasy!  Here's what I came up with:

This sweet little bunny and sentiment is from the Pink by Design Bunny Half Pint Stamp Set...on of the sets I designed for the latest PBD release.  This one is called a Half Pint because it is a 3x4 inch set.  So cute and fun! I got the egg shape from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Hoppy Easter Cutting Files Set.  I mirrored the base egg shape and welded the two together to create the shaped card base.  Then, I made another copy of the base egg shape and sized it smaller so I could stamp my bunny on it.  I colored the bunny and his eggs with my Copic markers.  I added some ink around the shapes and some doodle marks, and my little Easter card was all done.  I hope you like it!

I also have a winner from the Pink by Design March New Release Blog Hop.  The winner of the stamp set and the 6x6 paper pad is:

Congratulations, Deb C!  I'll be e-mailing you so you can send me your mailing address.  Be sure to check your junk/spam folder, just in case. :)

Okay, now it's your turn!  Link up your own Easter project below for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to Pink by Design.  You have until the night of Saturday, March 23 to link up.  We can't wait to see what you create!
