Put Me in Coach ~ SOUS Die Cut Challenge Sept. 7

Yay!  It's Friday and time for another Stuck on U Sketches Die Cut Challenge.  The theme this time is Put Me in Coach.  Here's what I came up with:

Both my nephew and dad have birthdays coming up in October, so I thought I'd take this opportunity to make a couple of special cards for them.  I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Football Helmet Cutting File to create these cards.  I just mirrored the base of the cut and welded the two together to make a shaped card base.  I love how the cards turned out!

My nephew is a New Orleans Saints fan.  So, I cut out the helmet in Saints' colors and found a Saints logo on Google somewhere.  Then, I simply traced it into Silhouette Studio and created a layered logo to add to the helmet.

My dad is a Dallas Cowboys fan (just like me).  So, this helmet is silver and navy.  I used this Nested Star file from the Silhouette Online Store to create the logo for his Cowboys' helmet.

Finally, I used the inset feature in Silhouette Studio to create a white shape for the inside so I could write a birthday message when I send it.  I added a sentiment and football stamp from Pink by Design's Got Game Stamp Set and a birthday greeting from Pink by Design's Birthday, Birthday Stamp Set.
