Transferring a Photo to Wood

Happy Monday, everyone!  Today is my day to post over at the Digi-Mama's blog, and I have a cool tutorial to share with you.  But, the project I created is a gift, and I'm worried that the recipients will see it if I post a pic of it here.  So, I'd love for you to head on over to Digi-Mama's to see the project and see how I made it (unless you are my parents).  ;)

I'll be back on Wednesday with the awesome projects by my Design Team. Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!

You've Been Boo'd Free Printable

Hi, everyone!  Happy Labor Day!  I know it's just now September, but I can't help but start thinking about Halloween.  I love that Fall is almost here, which means that the holiday season is almost here.  YAY!!!  So, since it's my day to post over at Digi-Mama's, I thought I'd offer a fun little printable to help everyone get into the almost fall almost holiday-time sort of mood. I used Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files to put together this fun little printable that you can use to "BOO" your neighbors whenever October rolls around.  To play along, you just get together a couple of little treats for your neighbors, print off these pages, leave the goodies at their front door, and RUN!  Then, they do the same for their neighbors, and so on.  As a former teacher, my coworkers and I had a lot of fun with this each October, and I know that a lot of neighbors join in on the fun each year.  So, I hope you enjoy your little freebie, and that thoughts of cool, crisp autumn air and little costumed kids make you happy today.

I hope you're having a great holiday, everyone!  I'll be back later this week with another project to share. :) See you then!

Glad You're My Teacher

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's my day to post over at Digi-Mama's, and I want to share a card I made for my 4th grader's new teacher.  She's new to the school, so I wanted to make her feel welcome.  Here it is:

I got this sweet little crayon box from the new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Primary Supplies Cutting Files set.  I printed and cut the box in three layers...the back layer with the crayons, the yellow layer of the box with the "crayons" word, and the green stripes layer.  I assembled the pieces and stamped a little face from the Peachy Keen March 2013 Stamp of the Month set.  The background pattern is from the PPPR School Days Penmanship Digital Paper Pack.  I stamped a fun sentiment on a shape from the PPPR Layered Labels 2 Cutting Files set.  I added stitching lines using my Silhouette Cameo.  I just created an inset shape and changed the line to a dotted line.  Then, I grouped the shapes and printed and cut them.  The sentiment is actually a SNEAK PEEK of a stamp set I designed for Pink by Design (it should be available really soon).  I added some ribbon, and my little card was all done.  I got my daughter to write a sweet message on the inside for her teacher.  I'm hoping it will help make her Monday more bearable. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back later in the week with more projects.  Have a great Monday!

Patriotic Wreath

Hey, everyone, and Happy Monday!  I'm excited to announce that I will be posting over at the new Digi Mama's blog on the first Monday of each month.  This blog is a place for work-at-home-moms to share ideas and tips for balancing work and home.  For my post today, I'm showing off this wreath I created for my front door.

I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Grand Old Flag and Fantastic Fireworks Cutting Files to decorate this little wreath I found at Michaels.  There's a story that goes along with the making of this wreath, so I hope you'll head on over to Digi Mama's to read all about it. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back a little later with another project for you.  :)
