We Just Click

Hi friends, this is Leah with you guys today. It seems as of lately all I am doing is creating cards so I really wanted to create a layout. I seem to be a fan of using as many of the cutting files in one project as I can. Though all of the camera's aren't featured here, I sure got many of them in here! This was the perfect theme to highlight this photo of myself and my 3 sisters when we got to take a sister trip to Disneyland! A lot of photos were taken those 2 days! LOL!
I was also inspired by the color choices in the actual cutting file photo so I went ahead and chose scraps to get as close to the file colors as I could. And because those were all solid colors, I went for some texture by choosing pattern paper for the background.
I also wanted to share a bit about how I go about cutting when I have so many images. In the photo below (you can click on the photo to enlarge it) you can see on the right side that I have the whole layout design. I then group all of the images together and keep it as reference as I am working on the rest of the layout. On the left you'll see some of the individual cameras. I found it easier once putting these all back together if I had each camera alone to see what color went where. I also took each camera, ungrouped, and then pulled each piece apart and grouped by color. As you'll see on the center virtual cutting mat.
I hope that gives you some ideas and helps you some to see a visual on the creating process.
And here are the files I've used today.

Friends & Daughters Smile!

Leah Schaeffer with you all today sharing a layout with a couple of the great camera sets that are offered now. I really just can't get enough of them and plan to use them again and again! Plus, Lisa has done a ton so there are a ton of options and styles. Love that!
I used the smile sentiment from the Smiley Camera cutting file set and then used other fonts available to finish my title. I love being able to mix things up like that!

If you are one of those that really stick to plain card stock when die cutting. Let this little camera below be inspiration for trying something a bit different. This is easy since it's tone on tone and more simply then really using a bolder print. But goodness, it adds so much more interest then plain paper!

Another note, make sure you have a new or newer blade when cutting something small and detailed like this. My paper was fine but I am overdue for a new blade so I had to cut these outline cameras a ton of time to create this border! I'm so happy I stuck with it but man, a new blade would have made this painless!

   And the files used today...

Thanks for visiting and we are excited to see you this upcoming weekend for our blog hop! Woohoo!

PPPR Oh, Snap! Blog Hop

Woo HOO! It's time for another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog hop! YAY! Today, the PPPR design team and I are sharing Oh, Snap! projects....which means any projects that have to do with cameras, photos, or memories. There's a PPPR Gift Certificate up for grabs today, and I'm also sharing a fun little freebie with you. Oh, and we'll be kicking off our new challenge for the month today, too! Woot woot! So, sit back, relax, and be sure to hop to each and every blog. You don't want to miss a thing today. :)

I created four fun little A2 sized cards for today using some of the newest Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files. Here they are:

For this first cute little card, I used the Smiley Camera and Photo Frames 1 Cutting Files. I cut all of the pieces for the camera, except the face, which I printed along with the center lens. The camera was just too small to cut all of those tiny face pieces. I also printed the Smile! title on the photo frame and then stamped a sentiment from the Pretty Cute Stamps Leapin' Lizards stamp set next to it. I popped up the frame and the camera with foam tape, and my silly little card was all done.

For my next project, I decide to make a little trio of similar cards. I printed the Oh, Snap! sentiment and camera (from the hop freebie...I'll show you that in a minute) on the white card stock and then stamped an additional little sentiment on each one. The cards go together perfectly, even though they have different patterns and occasions. I changed out the patterns using my Silhouette Studio program.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Pretty Cute Stamps Leapin' Lizards stamp set.

The I forgot your birthday! sentiment is from the Pretty Cute Stamps Forest Friends stamp set.

The Happy Father's Day is from the Pretty Cute Stamps Best Dad Evah stamp set.

Here's the little freebie I used for the trio of cards. This Oh, Snap! Cutting File will be available for FREE on Saturday, May 9 - Sunday, May 10, 2015, only. Then, it will be available for purchase in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store. Click on the photo or the link above to snatch it up.
