HURRAY!

Hi, and Happy Thursday!

Gloria here from Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot. Today, I would like to share with you two Graduation cards I made. The base of both cards will fit into a regular size letter envelop.

For the first project I made a card using the Hurray Tile in PPPR Graduates Cutting Files. I love the way the shape of the card looks. I used a white gel pen and a black Zig marker for the stitching. For the grey piece of paper I inked the edges with Memento London Fog ink and a little bit of Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used some Yellow Stickles and the sentiment is from Pink By Design "Our Kids" stamp set.

For my second project I used the HURRAY that was cut out of the first cards, than I cut out the HURRAY again in black and cut by hand the letters I needed.  The Graduation Cap is from PPPR Hats Off Cutting Files and the sentiment is from Pink By Design "Hats Off" stamp set. For the outline of the grey letters I used a VersaMarker pen. I added some Black Diamond Stickles to the exclamation point.

Graduation Layout

Hi everyone.. Its Nanné here from Nanne's Creations and I have a graduation layout I want to share with you..
My kids are all in their early 20's, but I've never had the chance to scrap any of their graduation photos..
Bad mommy, I know..LOL
So, when I seen these ADORABLE graduation cutting files, I knew it was time to grab a photo and get it on paper..

This is what I created:
Since we live in Finland, graduation works a little differently here than in the States..
All of the boys wear suits instead of a cap and gown, then their teachers hand every student a red rose after the principle hands them their diplomas..  My sons teacher is standing behind him in the photo :)

I decided to use some of my Echo Park hybrid papers along with plain cardstock.. First I took 12x12 piece of brown cardstock, tore the edges and adhered it to the tan cardstock background.. I then cut some notebook paper trim which is in the Note Book Paper Cutting file and tucked that underneath the top of the cardstock and just added a strip of white cardstock to the bottom, to create the illusion that its one long piece of paper :)  Last but not least, doodled on the edge with a white marker..

How about some close ups and details:

I absolutely love this cute little guy, he's in the Graduates Cutting File.  I added the light blue trim to represent the color of my sons tie, gave him rosy cheeks with some pink chalk and that smile just says it all :)

I also added the scroll from the Hats Off Cutting File by tucking it behind the paper layers..
For the title, I used the banner pieces from the Simple Banners Shapes cutting file,  just flipped them upside down and tucked them underneath the circle trim.

Loved the badge, which is also in the Graduates Cutting File.   I had to incorporate it into this layout some how and I think it worked out perfectly with the saying on the banner :)   The stars used are in the Best Buddies cutting file..  Next to the badge is a banner that I will add journaling to and that its in the Sentiment Spots 3 Cutting File..

and of course I had to include a close up of my youngest son Adam..

Thank you so much stopping by today

Hugs
Nanné

Pink by Design Technique Wenesday

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another Technique Wednesday at Pink by Design.  This week, we're featuring projects using twine.  Of course, we're staying with our Graduation theme from this week's challenge.  Here's what I created:

The card base for this card is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Scattered Stars Card Cutting Files. I replaced the colored paper strips in the background with colored twine, which I just cut and taped to the back of a piece of card stock.  I added a grad cap from the PPPR Hats Off Cutting Files set and a sentiment from the Pink by Design Everyday Banners and Hats Off stamp sets.  Then, my little card was all done!

Remember about the Graduation Challenge that is going on over at Pink by Design this week.  You can link up your project below.

Pink by Design Graduation Challenge

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at Pink by Design, and this week's challenge is to create a graduation-themed project.  Here's what I came up with:

The base of this card is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Center Panel Step Card Cutting Files set. The sweet graduate girl is from the PPPR Graduates Cutting Files set, and the diplomas are from the PPPR Hat's Off Cutting Files set.  The big sentiment is from Pink by Design's Giant Greetings stamp set.  I love how it fits the banner on this card perfectly.  The sweet little face on the graduate is from the Peachy Keen Laughy Taffy Face Assortment stamp set.

Here's another view of the card:

Now, it's your turn!  Head on over to the Pink by Design Blog to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your graduation themed project below.  We can't wait to see what you create!

What's New Wednesday #34

Hey, everyone!  I hope you all are having an excellent Wednesday so far.  I've added a bunch of new files to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store over the last week, and I'm so excited to share them with you today.  First, let me show you what's new today:

I created these silly Tool Time files just in time for you to start working on those Father's Day projects.  The faces on the tools cutting files are easily removed, and the sets come with JPG and PNG files with and without faces.  These files are available as Tool Time Cutting Files or Tool Time Digital Clip Art.

I also added another set that would be perfect for Father's Day, but there are SO many more uses for this gigantic Old Chap set. You'll get 33 files in all (WOW!), and the set comes as Old Chap Cutting Files and Old Chap Digital Clip Art.

Also, in case you missed them, I also added these Graduates Cutting Files and Hats Off  Cutting Files last Friday.  Each set is also available as Digital Clip Art.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you like the new files!  I'll be back on Friday with a project for you and a new Friday Freebie. :)

Design Team Day!!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I hope your May has been marvelous so far!  Well, I have some MARVELOUS projects to share with you. My wonderful Design Team has been brimming with creativity, and they made AWESOME projects this week using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) files.  First, I'll share the project I created:

I created this card for my dolphin-loving sister-in-law, who is graduating from college this weekend.  I created a birthday card for her with this same little dolphin last summer, but the card got lost in the mail!  Sooooo sad for both of us!  So, I knew I had to make her another card with this little dolphin from the Sea Life Cutting Files set since she loves dolphins so much.  The shape for the card base is from the Layered Labels 1 Cutting Files, and the grad cap is from the Little Hoot Cutting Files Set.  I filled the card base with PPPR papers.  The cork board pattern is from the School Days Pattern Pack, and the chevron pattern is from the Spring Fling Chevron pack.  I added a pretty yellow polka-dot ribbon and a sentiment from Pink by Design's Hat's Off Stamp Set, and my sister-in-law's card was all done.  I hope she likes it!

Okay, now for the amazing projects from my amazing DT:

Nicole ~ Teachdanz

Barb ~ BugBites

Brianna ~ Happy Scrapper
Happy Rainbow Cutting Files

Football & Football Helmet Cutting Files

Ana Maria ~ Shorty Creations

Spring Garden Cutting Files

I just LOVE each and every one of their projects!  Be sure to take a minute to stop by and leave some nice comments on their blogs...we all love to read those sweet words.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll be back on Friday with a Guest Designer and a Friday Freebie.  I've also been working on some cutie patootie sets for next Wednesday.  I can't wait for you to see them!

Quick Grad Card and a WINNER!!!

Hey, there! Today I have a quick graduation card I made for the daughter of a family friend to share with you.  Plus, I have the winner of the Cameo Creations Birthday Hop to announce.  First, here's my card:

I got this cute hurray graduation file from the Silhouette Online Store.  I welded a rectangle to the file to create a card with a shaped front.  I decided to make the cuts in blue and white since the graduation girl's school colors are red, white, and blue.

Here's the inside.  I forgot to take a photo of it before I started writing.  Ooops!  I got both sentiments from Pink by Design's Hat's Off Stamp Set.   The, I added some doodles, and this quick card was all done! :)

Now, I have a winner to announce. The winner of the 24 Pack of American Crafts Ribbon is:

Congratulations, Bonita!  I'll be e-mailing you to get your mailing address.  Be sure to check your spam/junk folder just in case my e-mail winds up there.

Have a great hump day, everyone!  Come back on Friday...I'll have another project to share with you then. :)
