Puppy Birthday Party

Happy Monday, everyone!  I'm taking some time today to recuperate from a very busy weekend.  Yesterday was my youngest daughter's 8th birthday party, so I've been running around like a maniac trying to get everything ready.  I wanted to share the decorations I made for her party.  She wanted a pool party, so I limited the decorations to cupcake toppers/wrappers, table decorations, and treat bags.  We weren't allowed to hang anything on the walls, so a banner was out.  So, here's some pics from her party:

I used my Cricut Expression for all of these cuts. The poodle, cupcake, and bone are all from Create a Critter.  I got the party hat from Sweet Treats and the Happy Birthday from Once Upon a Princess.  I added ink, doodle marks, and little blue jewels to dress everything up.  I just noticed that some of my ribbon fell off of the Happy Birthday sign...oh, well.  I guess it didn't bother me at the time.  :)

For the cupcake toppers, I got all of the puppies from Create a Critter and the party hats from Sweet Treats.  The wrappers were cut from Life's a Party.

All of the cuts in this table decoration are from Create a Critter except for the puppy's hat, which is from Sweet Treats.  I added ink, some stickers, some doodles, and some jewels to add a little umph.

The puppy and gifts in this table decoration came from Create a Critter.  Her hat and 8 candle came from Sweet Treats. A jewel, ink, and doodles were added here, also.

Here's a close-up of the treat bags.  I made the topper base from Art Philosophy, the puppies came from Create a Critter, and the hats came from Sweet Treats.  The paw print stamp came from Pink By Design's Furry Friends Stamp Set, and the sentiment came from Pink By Design's Big Thoughts Stamp Set.

Oh, and, in case you missed them, here are the invitations I sent out for the party.  You can learn more about them in this post.

Taylor loved all of the decorations and had a blast at her party.  From the looks of it, she really enjoyed her cupcake, too...LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a marvelous Monday!!!

Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #17: Father's Day

Guess what!?!?!?! It's Tuesday, so it's a great day for a challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion.  This week's theme is Father's Day.  Here's what I came up with:

So, I have to say that I'm not super crazy about this card.  It doesn't really go together, or something.  My idea behind this card is that it's for my husband...it represents a sort-of inside joke between him and our daughters.  The big gray elephant is supposed to be him, and the two smaller ones represent the girls.  The problem is that I made the little elephants in pastel colors, thinking it would be good since they are girls.  Well, then I couldn't really make the card very masculine since I had the pastels on there.  I told you I'm not great at making masculine cards!  Anyway, at least I think my hubby will get a chuckle out of this card.  The inside is going to say "Even when you're making elephant noises" which is my hubby's and daughter's code phrase for going #2.  Strange idea for a Father's Day card, maybe, but my girls think it's funny, and my hubby will, too, and that's all that matters. :o)

This is an A2 size card.  The elephants are from Birthday Bash, and the bows are from Once Upon a Princess.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design's Our Fathers stamp set.  I added a little ribbon (no bows this time), and my little card was all done.  I hope you like it!

So, now it's time for you to head on over to Celebrate the Occasion to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, you can join in on the fun, yourself.  I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by today!

Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the Mothers Day Blog Hop! This hop is all about Mother’s Day and a challenge to create any Mother's Day project, but no flowers allowed!

Here's what I came up with for the hop:

My mom and dad recently came all the way over here to Germany for a visit, and I had such a great time with them.  So, I thought this would be a great Mother's Day card for my mom...since I DO love hanging out with her. :o)

The little monkeys and vines came from Create a Critter, the leaves are from Sweethearts, and the bows are from Once Upon a Princess.  I used an embossing stylus and my hubby's mouse pad to add some veins and dimention to the leaves, and I also added tons of the new fluid chalks I just got.  I just LOVE them!!!  I don't know what took me so long to get some.  Anyway...I also added a little bling with my i-Rock and a computer generated sentiment,  and then my little card was all done. I hope you like it!  :o)

Now....drumroll, please....how about some BLOG CANDY!?!?!?  YAY!

Lucky Charm Blog Hop

Hi, there!  Welcome to the Lucky Charm Blog Hop! If you've arrived here after visiting Amy at Amy Designs, then you're in the right place. If you stumbled upon this post on my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can start at the beginning at Cross My Heart Paper Crafts. This blog hop is all about creating something for the lucky charm in your life.  Here's what I created for my lucky charm...my hubby.

I wanted to make a fun St. Paddy's Day card for my hubby.  We usually don't do cards or anything for the day, so I thought it would be a nice surprise for him.  He'll like the irony of putting a black cat on a "lucky" card.  :o)  This card will fit in an A2 sized envelope.  I got the card base/rainbow from Hello Kitty Greetings.  The cat came from Happy Hauntings, the hat and cauldron from Simply Charmed, and the bow from Once Upon a Princess.  I added lots of ink and some stitching lines, and this little card was all done!

Okay...now how about some Blog Candy???  I'm giving away a little collection of green crafting goodies:  a green and silver chipboard alphabet, a green embellishment pack, and some pretty green ribbons.  If you'd like the chance to win these goodies, here's what you need to do:

1.  Become a follower and leave a comment letting me know. Or, let me know you're already a follower.  You must be a  follower to win.  Please don't forget to include your e-mail address.

Tacky Tuesday Whale Card

Here's the card I made for Tacky Tuesday's Challenge #2.  For this challenge, we had to use the whale from Create a Critter and the word "whale" somewhere on the front of the card.  Here it is:

I used my Gypsy to layout the card.  I cut the little water spout off of the little whale and replaced it with a party hat from Birthday Bash.  The gifts are from Once Upon a Princess.  The card base is also from Birthday Bash, and the ovals are from Gypsy Wanderings .  Again, all of the patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View's Citrus Stack (I'm really lovin' that one!).  The sentiment is computer generated.  I added some brads for the whale's eys and a little ribbon, and my WHALEY cute birthday card was all done.  I hope you like it!  Thanks for visiting!

BTW...I really LOVE to read your comments.  :o)

Citrus Butterfly Card

Bitten by the Bug 2 is having a Butterfly Challenge this week, and I am so excited to join it.  We are supposed to use the butterfly from Once Upon a Princess on a project.  Here's what I created:

The butterfly, of course, is from Once Upon a Princess, and so is the patterned paper cut.  The red, yellow, and floral papers are all from the Die Cuts With a View Citrus Stack.  I just got this stack yesterday, and I love it!  The colors are so sunny and warm...something I could really use right now!  I haven't added a sentiment yet, because I'm not sure what I'll use this card for.  I did add some Stickles and a few gems, and I was all done!  I hope you like my little card.  Thanks for visiting!  :o)

Birthday Cards

There are just TONS of birthdays this week!  My daughter's birthday is Thursday, we have 2 birthday parties to go to, and my neice's birthday is next week!  Also, Monday was Robyn's (A.K.A. My Pink Stamper's) birthday, and she is having a birthday challenge this week.  So, I spent some time today designing a couple of cards on my Gypsy and putting them together.

First, I created a card for my neice, who is turning 17, and I made a duplicate for my oldest daughter's friend, who is turning 10.  I wanted to make something that was fun and not too kiddish, so I used Rock Princess to make this one.  Here it is:
The card base, the star, and the ROCK ON! are from Birthday Bash.  The guitar girl is from Rock Princess.

I created the sentiment in Microsoft word and printed it on an extra star I cut.

I love this Rock On! card...I think it's perfect for teen or tween girls!  Because I love this one so much, I'm entering it in Robyn's challenge.  :o)

The other card I made today is for a friend's daughter who is turning 6.  I wanted to make something sweet for her, and this is what I came up with:

The unicorn and the sentiment are from Once Upon a Princess, and the card base and scallops are from Just Because Cards.

Well, I hope you like the birthday cards I created today.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  :o) I'd love it if you'd leave a comment for me...they make my day!
