Happy Mom's Day

Gloria here from Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot and I hope everyone is doing well.

Today is my day to post over at Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbon and I would like to share a Mother's Day card I made. All the images are from PPPR Gnomies Cutting Files. After printing it I used prismacolor pencils to outline some areas and to give a little shadow around the bottom of the mushroom. The sentiment is from PBD Artisan Tags stamp set. I also used a wood embossing folder and went over it with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Don't forget you can also get the PPPR files in the Silhouette Studio Store as well.

Thank you for stopping by and may you have a beautiful day.

MOM

Hi, and Happy Thursday!

Gloria here from Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot. I hope everyone is doing well.

For my project today I made two Mothers day cards using PPPR A2 Card Bases 1 Cutting Files along with PPPR Mother's Day Cards Cutting Files.
For this card I removed the flower that was in the center but kept the heart and enlarged it. I added yellow stickles all over the heart. The sentiment is from MCT You're My Best Buddy stamp set.

On this card I outlined the M's with a black sharpie marker. I kept the flower in the middle and added the heart to the bottom of the card instead of on the flower. I layered the flower and ran the center of it with cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. The sentiment is from MCT You're My Best Buddy stamp set.
 What I used:

Yellow Stickles
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
MCT You're My Best Buddy Stamp Set
Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick Distress Ink
Tim Holtz Mustard Seed Distress Ink
Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Distress Ink
Tim Holtz Spun Sugar Distress Ink
White Embossing Powder
Blushing Pink Pastel Embossing Powder
VersaMark Ink Pad
Recollections Enamel Dots

Don't forget we have a Oh Snap blog hop going on this Saturday May 9th, 2015

MOM = love

Hi, and Happy Thursday!

Gloria here from Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot. Today, I would like to share with you a Mother's Day card I made using the super adorable PPPR Dress up files. You can check out the four new Dress Up files HERE.

My card base is 5X5 and I used the PPPR "Background Lace 1 Cutting Files" to make it. Love the way the background lace looks and how beautiful it cut out. I welded a rectangle close to the bottom so it would look like the little girl was standing behind it.  The little girl is from PPPR "Dress Up Girls 1 Cutting Files" and her top is from  PPPR "Dress Up Girl Wedding Dress Cutting Files". I used chalk on her hair as well her top. The cute little face stamp is from Peachy Keen Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment stamp set. I cut the MOM out with my cameo using Berlin Sans FB Demi font and added Yellow Stickles. For the heart shape I used PPPR "Heart Balloon Cutting Files" and the sentiment is from MCT "Treasured Moments" stamp set. After chalking the edges of the heart I add some Start Dust Stickles.  Totally loving the PPPR Dress Up files!

What I used:

PPPR "Background Lace 1 Cutting Files"

Love You Mom ~ SOUS Die Cut Challenge May 3 & a FREEBIE!

Hi, everyone!  It's time for another Die Cut Challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches.  The challenge this time is to create a project with a die cut of the word Mom or Mother (or a die cut of a mom).  Here's what I created:

This card was so easy to create...I just used the new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Mother's Day Cards Cutting Files set.  I just cut out all of the pieces, inked them up, and adhered them all together.  Then...all done!  Sooo easy!  I will say, though, that a good quality paper or a new blade is needed to cut out the "Love You" part of the card.  It gets pretty intricate on an A2 sized card like this one. :)

Now, it's your turn.   Head on over to Stuck on U Sketches to see what the other DT members created.  Then, link up your own project that uses a DIE CUT of the word Mom or Mother (or a die cut of a mother).  We can't wait to see what you create.

Oh, but first, be sure to check out this week's Friday Freebie in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store.  This file will be free for one week, then it will move to the 99 Cent Downloads section of the store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back next week with some more projects to share with you.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Pink by Design Mother's Day Challenge

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at Pink by Design, and the challenge this time is to create a Mother's Day-themed project.  Here's what I created:

This entire card was created using the print-and-cut feature of Silhouette Studio.  I got the daffodil from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Spring Garden Cutting Files set.  PPPR SVG files come in full color, so I just separated the pieces and printed them out so I wouldn't have to search for all of the colors of card stock I'd need.  I also printed the background papers...which I got from the new PPPR Spring Fling Pattern Pack of Digital Papers.  I added a wonderful sentiment from Pink by Design's Our Mothers stamp set, some chalk ink, and some lace ribbon, and my card was all done.  Super simple and quick.

Now, it's your turn.  Link up your own Mother's Day-themed project below for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to Pink by Design.  You have until Saturday night to link up.  We can't wait to see what you make. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll be back on Wednesday with some new files for you.  YAY!

Cameo Creations Mother's Day Challenge

Hey, everyone!  Happy Thursday!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge...YAY!  The challenge this time is to use your Silhouette cutting machine to create a Mother's Day project.  Here's what I created for the challenge:

I got this sweet little hummingbird from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Spring Garden Cutting Files Set.  I liked the colors that came with the SVG files, so I just used the print and cut function in Silhouette Studio to print and cut the layers.  I created the card base by layering some files from the PPPR Scalloped Circles Cutting Files Set and welding them together.  I filled the scalloped shapes with papers from the PPPR Sunny Skies Mod Circles and Chevron Digital Paper Pack.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Our Mothers Stamp Set, and I stamped it on a cut from the PPPR Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files Set.  I added some ink and some ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and my pretty Mother's Day card was all done.  I hope you like it!

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own Silhouette-created Mother's Day project.  We can't wait to see what you create.  You have 2 weeks to link up for a chance to a fabulous prize! :)

Supermom Sign ~ SOUS Die Cut Challenge May 4

It's FRIDAY!!!!  Yay!  That means it's time for another Stuck On U Sketches Die Cut Challenge.  This week's theme is In Celebration of Mothers.  I decided to make a fun sign for that mom who does EVERYTHING.  Here it is:

I got this fun Supermom Character and Supermom Phrase from the Silhouette Online Store, and I cut them out using my Silhouette Cameo.  Aren't they fun???  The fun paper is actually digital scrapbook paper from the Echo Park Hybrids Splash Paper Pack.  You can buy tons of these packs at Jessica Sprague.com.  Since I bought this digital pack, I have all of the patterned papers stored on my computer, and I can print them out whenever I need them...in whatever size I need.  I printed a full 8.5 x 11" page for this sign and trimmed it a bit to be 7 x 10.  I can also import the papers into Silhouette Studio and fill cut shapes with the patterns, if I want.  So many possibilities...I just thought I'd share in case you didn't know how awesome digital papers can be.  I was SUPER PUMPED when I realized you could buy Echo Park Paper in digital form.  Now I think I may need to look into getting a wide format printer (but that's another story).  Okay...on with the rest of my project.

I decided not to cut the face pieces so I could use this adorable face from the my Peachy Keen Laughy Taffy Face Assortment.  I think it fits perfectly.  I masked off the mouth with some tape after inking up the stamp with black ink so I could go back and stamp it with red ink.  I just had to mask off the rest of the stamp the second time.  Then, I colored in her eyes and teeth with gel pens.  I love her sparkly eyes. :)

The sentiment here came from the Pink by Design Enjoy the Journey Stamp Set.  I love the little touch it adds to the sign.  I added some star brads, some doodling, and some ribbon, and my sign was all ready for a supermom to enjoy.

Okay, now it's your turn!  Head on over to Stuck On U Sketches to see all of the AWESOME design team projects.  Then, link up your own project that celebrates mothers and uses a die cut.  You have two weeks to link up. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

Quick Mother's Day Card

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I just wanted to share a quick Mother's Day card I made for my Mother-in-Law. Here it is:

This card was so simple because I used a ready-made (or designed) Mother's Day Card from the Silhouette Online Store. How easy is that?  I just added some doodles and some jewels, and the front of the card was all done.

Then, I added another piece of matching paper to the inside so we would have a place to write our message, stamped a the sentiment using Pink by Design's Just for U Stamp Set, and added a few doodles.  Now, it's ready to ship out to my hubby's mom! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you're having a wonderful weekend! :)

Cameo Creations Challenge: Mother's Day

Hey, everyone!  Today marks the beginning of another Cameo Creations Challenge!  YAY!  The theme of this challenge is Mother's Day (using ribbon).  Here's what I came up with for the challenge (and for my mom):

I created this card around a stamp that I've been wanting to use for my mom's card.  It comes from the Pink by Design Our Mothers set.  So, I looked in the Silhouette Online Store for a card design that would accommodate this large sentiment.  I found it here: 'thanks' card kit.  I just left off the "thanks", and I had a large space for my sentiment. Then, I added a little brown ribbon for a bit more oomph. :)  This card was super easy since it was already designed for me. Plus, I think it will be a beautiful card for my mommy. :)

For the inside, I simply cut an extra layer from the front of the card. The sentiment here also came from the PBD Our Mothers set.

Okay, now it't your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your Silhouette machine-created Mother's Day project (using ribbon).  You have 2 weeks to enter, and one lucky person will win a $15 gift certificate to Scraptastical Kreations.  I can't wait to see what you create! :)

Celebrate the Occasion Challenge # 11: Mother's Day

Hey, you guys!  It's Tuesday again, so it's time for another challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion.  The theme for this week's challenge is Mother's Day.  Here's what I came up with for this challenge:

The little Matryoshka dolls on this A2 sized card came from Paisley.  I sized them so they'd hopefully look like a mom with her two kiddos.  I used paper that I bought at Lettering Delights and printed from my computer for the little dolls...and I think they turned out really cute.  Then, I added some embossing with my Cuttlebug, punched a border piece, added a little ribbon, and my card was all finished!  I decided to leave a sentiment off for now in hopes that my Pink by Design Our Mothers Stamp Set will arrive soon (before I need to mail this out).  Cross your fingers for me! :o)

Make sure you check out Celebrate the Occasion to see what the other Design Team members created this week, then join in on the challenge yourself.  I can't wait to see what you make!  :o)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #57: Mom's the Word

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  This week's challenge is to create any project for that special Mom with the word mom (or mommy, mother, mum, etc.) on it.  Here's what I came up with:

All of the cuts on this A2 sized card came from Pack Your Bags.  The cuts on this cart are just so cute, and I'm so excited I finally got the chance to use it.  The patterned paper is from the DCWV Citrus Stack.  I added some ribbon, some ink, and a computer-generated sentiment, and my little card was all done!  :o)  I hope you like it!

Head on over to Fantabulous Cricut to see what the other Design Team members created, then join in on the fun yourself.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Mother's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the Mothers Day Blog Hop! This hop is all about Mother’s Day and a challenge to create any Mother's Day project, but no flowers allowed!

Here's what I came up with for the hop:

My mom and dad recently came all the way over here to Germany for a visit, and I had such a great time with them.  So, I thought this would be a great Mother's Day card for my mom...since I DO love hanging out with her. :o)

The little monkeys and vines came from Create a Critter, the leaves are from Sweethearts, and the bows are from Once Upon a Princess.  I used an embossing stylus and my hubby's mouse pad to add some veins and dimention to the leaves, and I also added tons of the new fluid chalks I just got.  I just LOVE them!!!  I don't know what took me so long to get some.  Anyway...I also added a little bling with my i-Rock and a computer generated sentiment,  and then my little card was all done. I hope you like it!  :o)

Now....drumroll, please....how about some BLOG CANDY!?!?!?  YAY!
