Bon Voyage card

Hi fellow scrappers and card makers..
Its Nanné here to share a cute card I created show casing the "Are We There?" cutting file.

Here is the card I created:

Us Finns use the fairy cruise a lot.. We go over to Sweden on the Fairy cruise and as well as cross the Baltic Sea to go over to Estonia.. So, I though that this card is so appropriate to send off to a friend, for when they are heading off on a fairy cruise..

I love this saying, the word art is fabulous.. and I wanted it to just pop off of my card, so added the blurb underneath it, attaching it to my card using foam tape..

How cute is this ship.. Attached it using foam tape as well.. 

I also added some of the arrow icons to my card since I tried going for a map look of sorts..LOL

Birthday Girls

       Hi friends, Leah Schaeffer here to share my favorite PPPR project to date! Hope you like it as well! This sweet little card did pretty well at my county fair as well! Yay for ribbons! I created this in particular for my youngest sister who turned 25 (whoa, I've had this card for almost 2 months without posting it yet! How could I stand that! LOL!)     Ok, well onto the card! 

   As darling at this little girl was, I wanted to give her a different hair do. Something a bit more ethnic feeling. Easy to do with the extra files the shop has! You'll see the example below with the photos of the cutting files I used. 

   Oh my! The shine! This card is so pretty! No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the sparkle to really shine for the photos. But the shirt, hair bow and yellow on the cake are covered in Wink of Stella. Not to mention the bling-ed out background! 

   The starburst cutting files are some of my favs in the shop. How I only came up with this idea now, I have no idea. It took some serious time but I did the background in steps. The darker shade was shaped with a star background pattern and dusted with Perfect Pearls. The lighter shade was stamped and dusted but with a different stamp and color of Perfect Pearls. Then over all that, I used a balloon stencil with Versamark. It was my first time using an embossing powder that once heated turns sticky. That was the perfect base for all that glitter! This background is easily my favorite background I've ever created!

Bright Idea!

Hi, Ruth here today from Paper and Musings.

School is winding down and I've got a project that we'll be giving as a gift to a teacher.
I decorated the front of a craft covered notebook with Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons die cuts (some with digital papers from the shop, too!)
Here it is:

Don't you just love that face? It's from the Laughing Light Bulb Cutting Files! I think it went very well with the Sunburst Shapes Cutting Files, which worked well with Halloween Flourish Digital paper! The sentiment card is filled with a School Days Chalkboards digital paper pattern. Couldn't resist using the chalkboard design for this teacher gift!

Hey Chickie!!

Happy Monday!!  Nicole here today to share a card I recently made for one of my friend's daughters.  She is also my middle daughter's good friend and one of my dance students.  She was attending a weekend retreat for school leadership and parents/family/friends were asked to send letters to support and encourage the students.  I, being a crafter, of course asked if I could make a card!!

I used the following Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' cut files to create my card -

   

I put my cute little chick on an action wobble and added some bright colored sequins and the perfect sentiment to go along!!  Thanks for stopping by today!!  Don't forget about the fabulous spring sale going on right now!!

Naughty? or Nice?

 Your neighbor elf, Leah Schaeffer, here today to share a layout with you all!  I am so glad to be here today! Literally dancing around in anticipation to share my holiday projects with  you all this month!   This project is pretty much a paper only project but using lots of glitter paper and glitter glue helps the page fully come alive! As I often do in my layouts, if any of you are starting to notice, I love doing oversized elements on a page. It really allows Lisa's incredible cutting files to come alive and all those amazing details to be shown! This Santa on it's own is so special! Imagine just Santa in the middle of a holiday card with a great pattern paper behind him, it's all you would need! 

 I began with the Starburst Shapes Cutting Files background and then added my elements. Remember that when you are seeing a cutting file, think that you can often take the pieces apart to use separately. Just as I pulled the stack of gifts out of Santa's hands in the Jolly St. Nick Cutting Files (used one Santa and the gifts from the other Santa option). You'll see what I mean with the cutting file image at the end of the post.

 For all you alcohol marker fans, don't forget that you can add detail to your die cuts using your marker. I added some grey shading to the white on Santa with my markers. As well as using a thin line of glitter to outline the white trim of his clothing.
