Fungi

Hey,

Melissa here, wow, busy weekend for me!!! Today is my day here at PPPR, so of course I am sharing another card with you. I just love mushroom images, so when I seen that "Fungi" with the sunglasses I just knew I had to have him!!!

Here he goes....
I also wanted some mushrooms to accompany him so I used the family, just a couple was all I needed.
The grass came from this cutting file.

Here is where I got my card base...
Lisa's files are so versatile if you just put a little imagination with it, voila, you have some of the most cutest projects!
I hope you have enjoyed my card share!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Go Green Blog Hop

Happy Saturday, everyone! It's time for the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Go Green Blog Hop. My amazing Design Team members and I have created some super cute nature and conservation themed projects using PPPR files, and we are sharing them with you today! We have a prize up for grabs and a little freebie just for you guys. We'll also be kicking off our next challenge. So, be sure to check out each and every project along the way today...you don't want to miss a THING!

For my project, I decided to create some cute little tote bags for my daughters. They always share a bag for their stuff they want to keep with them in the back seat when we go on road trips, which usually leads to fun, fun arguments. ;)  So, I'm trying to solve that problem. I chose some feel-good Earth Day-ish images for their bags. Here they are:

For my younger daughter, who LOVES peace signs, I used this week's Friday Freebie for the bag. I love how the images from the Peace Love Recycle Cutting Files look against the black bag.

I knew my older daughter would want something a little simpler. So, I used the Earth image from the Earth Day Title blog hop freebie (which you'll see in a minute).

I got these totes at Michaels for a really reasonable price. They are canvas tote bags that are similar to these pictured below..same brand, and everything, but the package includes a black bag, gray bag, and white bag.

I used this Heat Transfer Vinyl to add the designs to the bags. This kind is intended to be used on dark fabrics. So, it is a white material that needs to be trimmed intricately before you iron it on or there will be white parts showing. Good thing I have my trusty Silhouette Cameo.

So, I just used the print and cut feature in Silhouette studio to print the images and then cut them out using the Heat Transfer Vinyl cut settings. Then, I just had to peel off the backing, position the transfer on my bag, cover it with parchment paper (which came in the package) and ironed it on ...making sure to follow the instructions. It was so super easy! I know there are a lot of great HTV makers out there...this just happened to be the one I picked up, and it worked great for me. Oh, and here's a tip...I made sure that I created an outset around my images and filled that with color so I made sure I wouldn't have any white edges showing when I cut the images out.

Before you head off to see all of the other FANTASTIC projects, I have a little hop freebie for you. This fun Earth Day Title will be available for FREE today, Saturday, April 18, 2015, and tomorrow, Sunday, April 19, 2015. Then, it will be available to purchase in the PPPR store.

All American Boy

Hello PPPR Friends!

It's Kathy, from Kathy and Kids, and today I made a shape card to share with you using the "Baseball and Bat" cutting file.

Are you ready for Spring?  Fortunately, I live where the weather is nice almost year-round, but we are excited about the longer days and warmer temps.

We're also excited that baseball season is here!

I made a baseball themed baby quilt for a friend's new baby and this is the perfect card to go with it.

Details:
"Baseball" from the "Baseball and Bat" cutting file
(To make it a shape card, I cut an extra base piece and attached it on the back.)

Enjoy the rest of your week, and Thanks for stopping by!

You Color My World

Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons! Leah Schaeffer here with a daily post to share a project featuring this wonderful watercolor cut file. I am pretty sure I will never get sick of creating with the files from this shop as they are always unique and have that sweet touch that is only Lisa! The whole cutting file set includes so much to keep you busy and creating. I am excited to do whole layout with these wonderful images!

To make this a bit more authentic looking I decided to cut the white layers multiple times and add them together for a "real" paintbox look. When adhering this to the card base, I slightly folded the design so the top of the box sits up a bit. The paint colors were colored with marker on white paper and the title colored with Distress Inks. I cut another layer and offset to help that stand out a little bit more. The last detail with a bit of shimmer.

The original card base was creating with the Pocket Cards 1 cutting file. However I ended up only using the base shape (and not the chevron layer) because I found this great frame pattern paper that I thought went well with the card. To add a bit of color I used the basic shape and then off set to create a few extra layers.
