Merry & Bright    Hi friends, Leah Schaeffer with you all today and I'm just not ready to let the holidays go! Well, it's really more of a winter layout. I could have gone with a title that wasn't something more holiday except that I did want to use this picture of my littles on Christmas morning. So, it went together. It had been some time since I got to put so much into a layout, the design, pulling the layers apart to get ready to cut and to put together. I think it took probably 5 different days to get this thing made!      Can I say how amazing paper is? All you need is paper! Seriously. Ok, and glue. But this entire page is done with paper. The only embellishing I did was adding details to the die cuts with pen. Shading, texture, etc and inking all the cuts. Just gives a little something but other then that, no other embellishments.     Ready for the file list? I have this thing..it's called "Shannon Luck"

It's basically the very thing that keeps me from ever being a ridiculously animated person. I live in constant hope that my life won't be like a Tom and Jerry episode, but it never quite works out that way.

Meanwhile, I maintain a great sense of humor and an infinite amount of ability to roll with the punches and successfully handle stressful situations.

This doesn't excuse the fact that I am suffering through major "Shannon Luck" right now. I figured it could at least snow...but that's not even happening, so I create snow, snowmen and all things wintry in  this lame weather's place.

Happy Christmas in August!

Any time before Christmas is always a good time to make Christmas cards so why not? And when you're inspired sometimes you have to go with it even if it doesn't make any sense (which is really the case with me!)

I love the 3D effect of the train with the card frame and the ticket is a great sentiment, don't you think?

Making a scene

Hi! I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July, especially if you live in the US. I love the time spent with family and friends, so it's something I look forward to.

My layout today was years in the making! I was trying to solve the problem of a page that I had no pictures for and then the inspiration hit that I could follow the lead of my fellow DT members and create a scene to share some of the sights I didn't capture with my camera!

I used:

Snowy Scene Cutting Files

to create rolling foothills

College Road Trip Cutting Files

to recreate the road we were driving on

Oh, Snap! Title Cutting Files

This was the perfect title and a great spark of inspiration for my page

Farm Critters Cutting Files

I used the chicken and the horse - I just liked how they worked with my page.

Fall Festival Cutting Files

for the bit of fence I used

Flower Assortment Cutting Files

for the bits of grass here and there.

And here's how it all came together:

I love how the chicken came out. I looked for chickens that were colorful on Google and used colors from other parts of this album.

This horse is adorable and so much fun to pop the different parts up with foam adhesive to add some dimension!

I'm so happy to now have a final page for this album!

So, if you ever need to fill in where you don't have a picture - just keep the Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons shop in mind! The possibilities are endless!

Hey,

Melissa here, wow, busy weekend for me!!! Today is my day here at PPPR, so of course I am sharing another card with you. I just love mushroom images, so when I seen that "Fungi" with the sunglasses I just knew I had to have him!!!

Here he goes....

I also wanted some mushrooms to accompany him so I used the family, just a couple was all I needed.

The grass came from this cutting file.

Lisa's files are so versatile if you just put a little imagination with it, voila, you have some of the most cutest projects!
