Grill Master ~ SOUS Die Cut Challenge July 27

TGIF!!!  It's a great day for another Die Cut Challenge over at Stuck on U Sketches.  The theme of this challenge is Summer BBQ.  Here's what I created for the challenge:

I found this cute Apron Shape Card with Utensils in the Silhouette Online Store and cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.  I wanted the card to be a little wider, so I created a shadow layer by using the offset feature in Silhouette Studio.  I filled the apron shape with a digital paper from the Lettering Delights Ninja Kicks Paper Pack.  Then, printed it and used the print-and-cut feature in Silhouette Studio to cut it out. I love how it looks all grungy and has a border at the bottom.

The Grill Master sentiment came from Pink by Design's Just 4 Men Stamp Set, and the Happy Birthday for Goodness Steak sentiment came from Pink by Design's Kitchen Puns Set.  I got the stars from Pink by Design's Oh Boy Set.  I added some stitching lines, and my little shape card was all done.

Now it's your turn.  Head on over to Stuck on U Sketches to see what the other talented Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own Summer BBQ Themed project that uses a die cut.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Emotional Oranges

Happy Monday!  It's my day to post over at Pink by Design, and I have a cute little set of cards to share with you today.  Here they are:

These cards each measure 3.75 x 4.25 inches.  I got all of these oranges and sentiments  from the newest stamp set I designed for Pink by Design: Orange You Awesome.  I stamped the oranges on different patterned papers and gave them different faces.  That way, they would match the sentiments I used.  I created the background by stamping one of the PBD Big Hexagon Stamps in different colors on white paper.  Then, I cut them out and arranged them on kraft cardstock.  I matted that on black cardstock, then layered it on a card made from kraft cardstock.  I stamped the sentiments on labels I cut out using my Spellbinders Shapeabilities  Ribbon Tag Trio Three.

To add a little more fun, I put each of the oranges on an Action Wobble.  I inked up all the edges I could with black ink, added some ribbon, and my little cards were all done! :)

By the way, did you see all of the new stamps Pink by Design released this weekend?  If not, you should definitely go check them out HERE.  Such great sets!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Monday! :)

Our projects for this hop are all about cupcakes. Here's my project:

I got this fun little cupcake and lizard from Lettering Delights' Leaping Lizards Cut It Set.  I used the offset tool in Silhouette Studio to create a shadow of the cupcake's background shape, then, I mirrored it above and welded the two together to create a card.  I filled the little lizard and other shapes with digital papers from LD's Leaping Lizards Paper Pack and cut him out using the print and cut feature in Silhouette Studio. I stamped the sentiment, which is from Pink by Design's Oh Boy Stamp Set, on a banner from the 2 Banner Set in the Silhouette Online Store. I embossed the icing with my Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder, and the banner with my Cuttlebug Herringbone embossing folder.  I added some ink and some doodles, and the card was all done!

Oh, and I also popped up the layers of the lizard's eyes with some foam tape so he looks more like a chameleon would look. So cute!

Okay, I have a little BLOG CANDY of my own to share with you!

Pink by Design July Release Blog Hop

Yay!   It's new stamp release day over at Pink by Design!  Woot, woot!  Welcome to the July Release Blog Hop!  If you've come from Julie's Blog, you are in the right place.  If you've just stumbled upon my post ans would like to start from the beginning, head on over to the Pink by Design Blog.  I've got a couple of cute cards to share with you today with a brand new PBD stamp set.  Here they are:

For these cards, I used the newest stamp set I designed for Pink by Design: Orange You Awesome.  The fun thing about this set is that the fruit comes with interchangeable faces.  You can make the fruit cheesy, sad, or sweet.  Or, you can opt to leave the faces off.  So many possibilities with these guys.

Here are the details of the cards:

The sentiment, banana, and face all came from the Orange You Awesome set.  I stamped the sentiment on a shape I had left over from another project.  The banana is pretty large (this card is 5x5"), so I stamped it on yellow patterned paper (since I'm not the greatest with my Copics yet).  I stamped the face on the banana, then I stamped a second one on white paper, trimmed around the eyes and teeth, and adhered it over the yellow.  That seemed like the best way to make them white. :) I added some hearts from the Pink by Design Girlfriends Stamp Set, some ribbons, and some doodles, and this fun little card was all done!

This little card measures 4x4".  I decided to use the sad face on my strawberry so I could use the I'm Berry Sorry sentiment.  The strawberry, face and sentiment all came from the Orange You Awesome set.  I stamped the strawberry on red patterned paper and on green paper, trimmed around the strawberry and stem, then added the face.  She's layered on a scalloped circle punch and popped up with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment on a banner from Pink by Design's Everyday Banners set and added some stitches from Pink by Design's Sew Lovely Stamp Set.  Then, I just added a little ink, and this sweet little card was finished!

Now, how about some BLOG CANDY????

One lucky follower will win a Pink by Design Mad Scientist Stamp Set and  a My Mind's Eye On the Sunny Side 6x6" Paper Pack.  YAY!!!!  Here's what you need to do to have a chance to win:

What's New Wednesday #3

Hey, everyone!  Welcome to What's New Wednesday #3.  I've been working on something super exciting that's not quite ready yet, but I do have one set ready for you.  Here's a project I made with one of the files:

Look familiar?  This Jacob Black look-alike is actually one of my newest superheroes.  Here's the set he came from, which is now available in my Etsy shop:

See, just change the color of his skin, and he can be the Hulk, Jacob Black, or your favorite cabana boy!  LOL!  I got the card base for my card from the Howler Card file, which is in the Silhouette Online Store.  The sentiments came from Pink by Design's Birthday, Birthday and A Haunting We Will Go Stamp Sets. I embossed the moon with my Sizzix Tim Holtz Texture Fades Bubble embossing folder, then flattened it out a bit by running it back through my Cuttlebug.  I added some ink, some Blueberry Divine Twine from the Pink by Design Store, and a button, and my card was all done!  I hope you like it!

Well, I'm super excited about these new files.  I'm hoping that I'll have more to share with you next week, and that I can maybe share what else I've been working on.

I'll have more projects for you later this week and this weekend! :)  Have an awesome day!

Frog Prince Hello

Hey, everyone!  I finally got the chance to get in my craft room today and create something!  It's been a super busy week and weekend, so I was happy to have some time to play. :)  Here's what I made:

I got this fun little frog from the Frog Prince file that's available in my Etsy shop.  I just love this little guy.  The card base is from the Silhouette Online Store: Card Base #4.  The background paper is from Echo Park's Victoria Gardens 6x6 paper pad, and the frog's spotted belly is from Basic Grey's Indie Bloom 6x6 paper pad.  I got the cute little sentiment from Pink by Design's Scripted Year Stamp Set.  I added lots of ink, some seam binding ribbon, and some doodles, and my little card was all done.  I hope you like it!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you'll come back tomorrow for What's New Wednesday.  I have some fun new files to share, and I can't WAIT to show you the project I made with them.  SOOOO fun!  I hope you'll come back...see you tomorrow!

Lab Partner & a FREEBIE!

Happy Monday!  Today is my day to post over at Pink by Design, and I have a fun little card, a tutorial, and a free .studio file to share with you today. YAY!  Here it is:

I got the idea for this fun wheel card from a card I saw in Paper Crafts Magazine a while back.  Here's the card I saw:

Isn't it adorable?  I decided to try making a card like this to feature the newest stamp sets I designed for Pink by Design: Mad Scientist and Radioactive.

Here's how I did it:

First, I created a cutting file for the pieces of the card and cut them out using my Silhouette Cameo.  If you're interested, you can download the .studio file for free HERE.  Then, I started creating the background pattern for my card:

I stamped the atom image from the Mad Scientist set with VersaMark Watermark Ink.  I covered the entire card, front and back, with a random pattern.

Then, I stamped some little heart electrons on the little atoms.  One of the fun things about this set is that you can choose what kind of electron you want on your atom (an open circle or heart, or a closed circle or heart).  That way, you can use it for a lovey-dovey project or for a project for someone who loves science.  Anyway, once I had stamped all of the little heart electrons, my background was done.

Next, I attached the a circle to my card using a brad.

I didn't want the back of the brad to show on the inside of my card, so I covered it with a slightly smaller circle.  Then, it was time to stamp some sentiments:

I stamped my first sentiment (from the Mad Scientist set) on the white wheel, centering it inside the speech bubble cutout.  Then, I turned the wheel until that sentiment was no longer visible and stamped my next sentiment.  Continuing in this way, I was able to stamp 4 different sentiments on my card.

Finally, it was time to add my little scientist from the Mad Scientist set.  I colored him with Copics, cut him out, and adhered him over the brad using foam tape.  I made sure to leave a space for the brad so the scientist would sit level against the front of the card. I used a black Copic marker to outline the speech bubble and the card base and added a little bling, and my card was all finished.  Here's what other sentiments I used:

This sentiment is from the Radioactive Stamp Set.

Hee hee...this one's also from Radioactive.

And finally...*giggle*...this one's from the Mad Scientist set.

Well, I hope you like my card!  Remember, you can download the .studio file for the card base if you like from here:

Oh, and don't forget this week's Pink by Design Ink it Pink Challenge.  This week, we'd love for you to show us some sparkle!  Createa project using PBD stamps and something sparkly or blingy, and link it up HERE by Tuesday evening .  I think my little atoms would qualify, don't you think? :)  I can't wait to see what you create!

I'm also entering this in the Stamp It! Cards Love Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
