PPPR & SMS Cross-Promo Hop

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) and Scrappy Moms Stamps (SMS) Cross-Promo Blog Hop.  We have all sorts of fun projects to share with you today that combine the images of PPPR with the stamps of SMS.  Be sure to stop by each and every blog and leave a comment.  You don't want to miss any of the amazing projects, and you could win a gift certificate to PPPR or a stamp set of your choice from SMS.

I decided to create two projects for the hop.  I had some new Halloween files I REALLY wanted to use, and I just got a fun set of Halloween stamps from Scrappy Moms.  Here's what I created:

This little center step card is sized so it will fit in an A2 sized envelope.  I thought this Brew up Some Fun sentiment was perfect for this cauldron.  I love how cute the sentiment is, too! Here are the goodies I used for this card:

Here's a side view of the card:

I don't know if you can tell from the photos, but I used the print-and-cut feature to create the "background" for the side panels.  The PPPR SVG files are in full color, so you can use them as clip art in any program that opens SVGs. So, I just layered the digital paper, some brown rectangles for shelves (that I drew in the Sil. Studio Software), and the potion bottles.  Then, I printed the entire rectangle, white border and all, in one piece and had my Cameo cut around it.  That way, I didn't have to worry about the impossible job of paper piecing all of those little bottles.  I also cut the pattern for the front panel in the same way.  Then, I paper pieced the cauldron using colored card stock.

Here's a close-up of the details.  I added some stick-on jewels to the cauldron, some Glossy Accents to the potion bottles, and a pretty ribbon, and my card was all done.

I also created this little card, which can fit in a 6x6 inch square envelope.  Here's what I used for this card:

I added a Spellbinders label, some printed paper from my stash, and some pretty ribbon to finish off the card.

Now, how about some BLOG CANDY?  Leave a comment on each of the stops along the hop for a chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store or a free stamp set of your choice from Scrappy Moms Stamps.  The more comments you leave, the better your chances of winning will be.  We'll choose one winner for each prize on Monday.

I also wanted to let you know that there is a sale going on this weekend at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. Here are the details:  (the coupon code is frankie)

Thanks for stopping by and hopping along with us.  Your next stop on the hop is Melanie's blog.

Here's the lineup in case you get lost along the way.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Autumn Harvest Blog Hop

Hey, everyone!  Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Autumn Harvest Blog Hop. The awesome ladies on the PPPR Design Team and I created Autumn-themed projects using PPPR files, and we are so excited to share them with you today.  We also have some yummy blog candy for this hop, and I have a FREEBIE just for hoppers!  YAY!  And, of course, we'll be kicking off another monthly challenge. So, be sure to read on to find out how to join in on the fun.

For the hop, I decided to use today's blog hop freebie to create a fun side-step card scene.  This sweet little squirrel, the sentiment, the leaves, and the acorns are all from the Nuts About You Cutting Files set.  You can get this set for FREE today and tomorrow, ONLY, so be sure to snag it by clicking the Add to Cart button below.

***This file is no longer available for free, but you can buy it HERE.***

Here are the details for the rest of the files I used:  I got the card base from the Side Step Card Cutting Files, and the grass and tree are from the Home Sweet Home Cutting Files set.  I also used a pattern from the Spring Fling Pattern Pack for the cloud background.

Our hop also kicks off our 5th monthly challenge.  YAY!  The theme this month, of course, is AUTUMN HARVEST. Create anything autumn/fall themed using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files, and link it up. You can find out all of the details and link up your project by clicking the photo below OR by clicking HERE.

FINALLY!!! The PPPR Birthday Challenge Winners!

OMGoodness!!!! I totally flaked out this week.  We had a LONG car ride down to Texas over the weekend to help my parents celebrate their 50th anniversary, and my schedule has been all messed up ever since. But, better late than never, I guess...I have the winners from the PPPR Birthday Challenge.

In no particular order, here are the Design Team's Top 3 Picks from the challenge.

Lisa C. ~ My Lil' Bits

Way to go!!!  Grab the Top 3 Button above to display on your blog or Facebook page. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Don't forget about tomorrow's Autumn Harvest Blog Hop.  We hope to see you there!

Guest Designer ~ Becky Dykes, New File Friday, and Friday FREEBIE!!!

TGIF, everyone!  I have a fun Guest Designer project to show you today.  I've also added a few files to the store and have a new Friday Freebie to show you.  So, let's get to it. :)

My Guest Designer this week is Becky Dykes from My Paper Craze.  She created this funny little tag to go with this yummy treat.  You've seen that insurance commercial, right?  LOVE it!  Becky used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Layered Tags 2 Cutting Files and the PPPR Pumpkin Spice Pattern Pack 1 Digital Paper set set to create this treat. Isn't it great?  Please take a minute to stop by Becky's blog to show her a little bloggy love.

Now for the new files.  I created a few more Halloween sets this week.  I felt that PPPR needed some more basic Halloween shapes. Here's what's new in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store. They each come as Cutting Files, Digital Clip Art, and Digital Stamps.

Of course, there is also a new FRIDAY FREEBIE in the store. This file will be available as a free download for one week, then it will be moved to the 99 Cent Downloads section of the store.  This freebie includes SVG., SXF, .JPG, and .PNG files. YAY!

Oh, and don't forget to pop by tomorrow for our PPPR Autumn Harvest Blog Hop and Challenge kick-off. There will be some gorgeous projects, yummy blog candy, and a SURPRISE just for hoppers!  We hope you'll join in on the fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll see you tomorrow!
