Beach Bums

Beach Bums
Hello all! Leah Schaeffer here today to share this fun page! Ok…not too much into the coming season but hey..it is still VERY warm here in sunny California! So…hope it's okay to share!
One of my favorite ways to design a scrapbook page featuring die cuts is to use one BIG center of focus image. Yes, little is cute but big means a grander impact on your page. Then you can come in with those smaller details. I started with a sandcastle and pretty much sized it as large as possible to fit my page. Do keep in mind, you really want to have your photos chosen first. Know what's going on the page and then size everything around those pictures! Trying to fit it the other way around is a pain! I promise!
And don't forget the background! Add layering, not only think matting photos but think of background! Adding the super big sun in the back adding another layer, more interest and more color to the page. Same with the clouds. You could of added nothing to the sky but this is SO much more fun!

To mimic a beachy feel I sprayed a tan and brown mist on the paper and inked my separate piles of sand. I sprayed the sandcastle as well and chose 3 different tan colors and textured paper for more interest. Each cut on the page was also inked in matching colors (sand, shells, etc).

And how about the amazing cutting files I used!

Thank you SO much for coming by and letting me keep you warm on this Monday! =)

Poppin' by to say Hi!

Hi, and Happy Thursday!

Gloria here from Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot. I hope everyone is doing well. Today I would like to share a card I made in honor of our PPPR "Fun With Puns" challenge going on now till October 4th. For more info and to link up your project for this challenge you can click HERE

For my car I used PPPR "Movie Popcorn Cutting Files", and to be honest while I was making this card I ended up having a bowl of popcorn (yummy). I chalked all the popcorn before gluing them together and outlined the pop corn box with a VersaMarker pen. I used the Tim Holtz paper distresser to distress the printed paper. I don't like the mess it makes but love the look it gives. The sentiment is from PBD "Kitchen Puns" stamp set and finish my card off I added some sequins.
What I used:
  PBD "Kitchen Puns" stamp set
 VersaMarker pen
Tim Holtz paper distresser
Chalk
Sequins

Thank You for stopping by and hope your able to play along in the "Fun With Puns" challenge.

I know that Halloween isn't until next month but I thought I would get a start on making some Halloween cards.

To make my card base I used the Scalloped Frames Cutting Files.  I used the moon from the Wizard Owl Cutting Files.  He is still free until Thursday so don't forget to grab him HERE.  The witch is from the Little Witches Cutting Files.  The sentiment shape is from the Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files.

I decided to enter this card into the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge.  The sketch is below.  I used the Christmas in July Face Assortment for her face.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great day!

Home Sweet Home Layout

It's Nanné here to share a layout with you that I've been working on..
Who loves that cute Gnomie's cutting file of Lisa's?  I do, I do.. This has to be one of the cutest files ever and I was so excited to put some of those adorable images to use..

so, with that said here is the scrapbook layout I created:

I decided to scrap a photo of my kids when they were younger and found one of many photos that they helped me in the kitchen baking something.. Those are the photos that remind of me of home.. My kids are all in their 20's now, so these are some precious memories for sure..

How about a few close ups:

I decided to have the froggy sitting on top of the Gnome home, so sized him a little bigger and for details, I chalked all of the edges and added some baby pink Stickles here and there..
Both of these can be found in the Gnomie's Cutting file

I wanted to add a branch to hold the next of eggs and the perfect one is definitely on the Winter Cardinal cutting file.. just made two different tone pink berries and light green leaves..
chalked all of those little berries and added some pink stickles as well.. a lot of work, but so worth it at the end..

and finally the Home sign. I love adding little single elements to my pages and the bird sitting on sign with the lantern on the side was just the perfect touch.. I love lanterns and have all over my house, inside and out :)  So, that is so me right there..
all of those can be found in the Gnomie's Cutting file

Thank you for stopping by today and checking out what I've created for todays reveal..
Till next time..
Get scrappy Ya'll..
hugs
Nanné

Hello there, Nicole here today!  I have a card to share with you that I made for a friend who requested a thank you card with a bee on it.

I just love the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Honey Bees" cutting files set.  I used the girl bee and the hive for my card.  I made this card a 5x7 sized card so that my friend would have plenty of room to write on the inside.  For more information on my card, please visit my blog.

Some SWEET Halloween Decorations

Happy Saturday, everyone! I had a lot of fun creating some cute Halloween decorations the other day, and I just couldn't wait to share them with you here. I used the new Candy Borders Cutting Files (which are on SALE this weekend) to create these sweet little decor items.

I used the print and cut feature of my Silhouette Cameo to create both of these items. This would make it really easy to create several of these to use for a party or as gifts. I printed out a candy corn border and simply wrapped it around this LED candle and secured the ends using a glue dot. I chose to use an LED candle so there wouldn't be a fire hazard. I added some pretty twine and a cute sentiment (a sneak peek of one of the new Pretty Cute Stamps sets that is coming out on Wednesday). Then, I added some little enamel dots I made a while ago by melting Perler beads in the oven (the candle dish just seemed to naked without something scattered around on it). I love how it turned out, and I'm thinking I may need to make something similar for every holiday!

I also decided to create some fun little garland to hang in my craft room. I just separated one of the candy corns from the border in my Silhouette Studio software, created an offset for it (since the black background of the border can't be broken up), mirrored it (so I could have a back to the image), and created a whole bunch of copies on my mat. Then, I printed and cut them all out, glued them together...back to back, punched some holes in them, and strung them on that same twine I used for the candle. This was super fast and easy....again, another decoration I'm going to have to tweak for other holidays.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Don't forget about our Fun With Puns Challenge that is going on right now.  You can find all of the details HERE.

Have an amazing weekend, everyone, and don't forget to come back tomorrow for some more PPPR inspiration. :)
