PPPR Get Well Blog Hop and NEW Monthly Challenge!!!

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I'm so excited that you are joining us for our Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Get Well Blog Hop!  The PPPR Design Team has created lots of fun Get Well projects using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files.  The best part about this hop is that you get to join in by linking up your own Get Well project for our new monthly challenge.  YAY!  I'll tell you more about that later. Hee hee!  For now, be sure to stop by each and every blog to see all of the awesome projects.  Plus, you'll find some fun blog candy along the way.  Then, come back here to join in on our challenge. :)

For my project, I created a cute little get well card.  Here it is:

I got this sweet little elephant from the PPPR Safari Love Cutting Files set.  I replaced her little hearts with a little medicine cup from the PPPR Doctor Visit Cutting Files set, and I placed the medicine bottle by her feet.  I created the card base with a shape from the PPPR Layered Labels 1 Cutting Files set, and I filled it with patterns from the PPPR Spring Fling Polka Dots and Spring Fling Stripes Digital Paper Packs.  I stamped a sentiment from Pink by Design's Get Well Stamp Set on a label from the PPPR Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files set.  Finally, I added some ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some doodle marks, and my little shaped card was all done!  :)

Now, how about some BLOG CANDY???

Design Team Day!!!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  It's time for another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Design Team Day!  YAY!!!!  First, here's my project...the card I created for my hubby for Father's Day:

For this card, I used the newest PPPR files, the Stud Finder Cutting Files.  I cut the stud finder at a pretty small size, so I decided to print and cut the little display window with the sentiment.  The great thing about this set is that it comes with four different sentiments and a blank piece.  So, you can have your choice of what you want your stud finder to say, or you can add your own sentiment.  I used glossy accents on the little "window" and the buttons to give a little more dimension to the cut.  The wood grain background paper is from the PPPR Man, Oh Man Pattern Pack 1.  I added some jute twine and some silver Candies, and my card was all done.  My hubby loved it, and I hope you like it, too!

Okay, now here are my delightful Design Team members' projects:

Patriotic Balloon Cutting Files

Barb ~ BugBites

Nicole ~ Teachdanz

 Jeanne ~ Jeanne's Paper Crafts
Tool Time & Layered Labels 1 Cutting Files
Man, Oh Man Digital Papers

 Brianna ~ Happy Scrapper
Valentine Kids & Layered Labels 2 Cutting Files

 Ana Maria ~ Shorty Creations
Patriotic Balloon Cutting Files

Shannon ~ Designs of a Paddymack
Man, Oh Man & Love Bug Digital Papers

AWESOME POSSUM, huh?  It would be great if you could pop over to these wonderful ladies' blogs to leave them some bloggy love.  We all love comments!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back on Friday with a Guest Designer, then, Saturday is PPPR Hop Day and time for our very first PPPR Monthly Challenge!  YAY!  We hope to see you there!

Monica's Surprise Baby Shower Blog Hop

Welcome to Monica's Surprise Baby Shower Blog Hop!  Our friend Monica from Monica's Creative Madness will soon be welcoming a new little baby boy to her family, so some of us got together to throw her this surprise hop.  We're all making 8x8 inch scrapbook layouts that she can use to keep up with all of the memories of the first year with her little sweetie.

If you arrived here from Ceci's blog, you are in the right place.  If you stumbled upon my post and would like to start from the beginning, head on over to the Cameo Creations Blog.  Be sure to stop by each an every blog along the way for tons of baby album inspiration.  Plus, there's bound to be some awesome blog candy up for grabs!

Here are the layouts I created:

First, I created this 8x8 inch layout to show off a photo of Monica's husband and his new son. I created this entire layout in Silhouette Studio. All of the tool images are from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Tool Time Cutting Files set. This layout is pretty small, so I cut each tool as a single print-and-cut piece. All of the patterned papers on this layout are from the PPPR Man, Oh Man Pattern Pack 1 Digital Paper Pack. I love how easy using digital papers made creating this layout. I created the entire layout in Silhouette Studio, including all of the patterns. Then, I just separated the shapes on my mat and print and cut them all. Some pieces had some slight white outlines around them, and I just used some fluid chalk ink to camouflage that a bit. I created a cutting file for the title of this layout, and you can download it from the Freebie section of the PPPR store. This file will only be available for free for a few days, so grab it while you can. :)

I also created this 8x8 inch layout for Monica to use for her Fourth of July pics of her sweet little boy:

I also created this layout in Silhouette Studio and used the print-and-cut feature to cut out all of the elements.  The fireworks and rocket images are from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Fantastic Fireworks Cutting Files set.  I intentionally added a white outline to all of the images to make them look a little like stickers and to help them pop.  I added yellow, silver, and red Stickles to those images for a little sparkle. The banner is from the PPPR Grand Old Flag Cutting Files set.  I got the blue starred background paper and the diagonally striped mat paper from the PPPR Old Glory Stars & Stripes Digital Paper Pack.  The wooden "fence" is from the PPPR Man, Oh Man Pattern Pack 1 Digital Paper Pack.  I also created a cutting file for the title of this layout, and you can also download it from the Freebie section of the PPPR store. This file will only be available for free for a few days, so grab it while you can. :)

Okay...now how about a little BLOG CANDY???

One lucky follower of my blog will receive this great collection of embellishments. YAY!!!  All you have to do for a chance to win is follow my blog and leave me a comment telling me you do.  Easy, peasy!!! I'll choose a winner on Tuesday, June 18, 2013.  Sorry, US and Canadian mailing addresses only, please.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Your next stop on the hop is Cassie's blog.

Here's the entire lineup of the hop, just in case you get lost along the way:

PBD Anything But a Card Friday & a FREEBIE!

Happy Friday, everyone!  It's time for another Anything But a Card Friday here at Pink by Design.  I've created a beach-themed treat to share with you today.

I created this little treat bag using the Pink by Design Just Beachy and Summer Vacation stamp sets.  I colored the sand castle and bucket with my Copic markers. The cutting files for the bag, itself, is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) K-Cup Treat Cutting Files.  The sentiment is stamped on a cloud from the PPPR Kite and Clouds Cutting Files set.

Don't forget about the Pink by Design At the Beach challenge that is going on this week.  You can link up your beach-themed project at the bottom of this post.

I also have a new Friday Freebie for you.  This file will be available for free for one week, then it will move to the 99 Cent Downloads section of the store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, everyone!  I'll be back tomorrow with some special projects to share with you.  You might find a special little surprise for YOU, too, if you stop by.  I hope to see you tomorrow! :)

What's New Wednesday #37

Hey, everyone!  I wanted to let you know what's new in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store this week:

I've added 2 new Fourth of July themed cutting files/clip art sets: Fantastic Fireworks and Grand Old Flag.

Head on over to the PPPR Facebook Page for a chance to win these two sets.  Just find the posts that ask you to share and comment. :)

I also had a great time creating two popcorn box files.  There's a Patriotic Popcorn Box and a classic Popcorn Box in the store now.

That's it!  Just to let you know, we live really close to the Black Forest fire that is raging right now in Colorado.  We're keeping a close eye on the evacuation line, hoping it doesn't cross our home.  But, we are pretty close.  So, I'm hoping to have a freebie ready for you for Friday.  We'll just have to see how things go.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Wednesday! :)

What Makes You Happy

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  It's At the Beach week over at Pink by Design, and I have another Beach-themed project to share with you.  Here it is:

I created this cute little beach scene using stamped images from Pink by Design's Just Beachy Stamp Set, which I colored with my Copic Markers.  The fun sentiment is from Pink by Design's Illuminate Stamp set.  The cloud background paper is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Spring Fling Pattern Pack of Digital Papers.

I created the sand by tearing kraft paper and embossing it with my Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder.  Then, I inked it with some brown Fluid Chalk ink.  I also used torn paper...this time some white core paper, for the waves.  I embossed those papers with the same folder and used a white gelly roll pen to highlight the "bubbles".

Don't forget to join in on this week's challenge: At the Beach. You can link up below. :)

Pink by Design At the Beach Challenge

Hi, everyone!  Happy Monday!  It's time for another Pink by Design Challenge.  This week's challenge is to create a BEACH-themed project.  Here's what I created:

This cute little beach ball is from the Pink By Design Just Beachy stamp set.  I stamped most of them with VersaMark Watermark ink, and the white one was stamped with black Momento Ink and colored with my Copic markers.  The fun sentiment is from Pink by Design's Attitude stamp set.  I added some doodles, and my simple card was all done!  I hope you like it!

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to the Pink by Design Blog to see what the other DT members created.  Then link up your own BEACH-themed project.  You have until Saturday night to link up. :)
