Life has it's Perks

Hi fellow scrappers..
It's Nanné here today and I'm so excited about sharing my project with you today..
Last summer my husband and I took a quick vacation to Florida from Finland and ended up having a lay over in London, England.. Where I was able to enjoy several different cups of coffee at a pub at the airport..
I decided it was time to scrap one of those photos that I had taken before enjoying my cup of joy (joe)..I am a lover of all things coffee..LOL

Here is what I created:

I decided to stick with browns and oranges cause of the logo on my cup of coffee :)
I also wanted to distress the background paper too look as if I had set my coffee up on it, thought it looked better than just a plain piece of white cardstock..

How about a few close ups and some details:

since I only took one photo, I decided to print it twice and then frame it.. These polaroid frames are great for that and you can get those in the Photo Frames cutting file..

This cute little gal, well I actually nabbed her from the Valentines Kids cutting file, she is actually holding a heart, but I wanted her to hold my two favorite things instead..LOL
the coffee pot and cup-to-go are in the Java Great Day cutting file..

I created my own title phrase using some free fonts I found only and for some added detail, I cut some scalloped trim to background cause I felt like it needed a little something extra.. The scalloped border is in the Borders 2 cutting file. (which is one of my most used files).

and finally, added some of the branches from the Winter Cardinal cutting file, some coffee beans and then percolator from Java Great Day cutting file.

and their you have my coffee themed layout..
I want to thank you for stopping by today and taking a look at my latest project :)
Hope you have a scrap-tastic week

Winter Critters

Happy Monday all! Leah here today wishing you had a lovely weekend and to also a project with you as well. I am pretty sure that I'll never tire from using the birch trees! One of my most favorite files from Lisa! They were the base for my long, business envelope sized card. This long style card is a favorite of mine, though I don't think I create enough with it. Designing with this size is refreshing and I think always creates a more unique card.

Last week I posted this post using markers to color all of my die cut pieces. I did a bit of that today as well. The cardinal and the red and pink on the bunny were all colored on white paper, as well as some shading added to the blue pattern paper pieces.

This just gives another option outside of all colored papers or even doing print and cut. Plus it's a way to get the most out of your markers. I use Spectrum Noir and like them because they are way, way cheaper then Copic.

To finish this off I added some punched snowflakes, white enamel accents for snow and a stamped and embossed sentiment on vellum. I wasn't thinking to make this exactly a Christmas card but thought the top of the card needed a detail and I didn't have any other stamp sentiment that I liked or had the right sizing..so it turned into a Christmas card anyways!

Have a wonderful day and a great rest of your week. Remember to stop by often for more Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon goodness!

Home Sweet Home Layout

It's Nanné here to share a layout with you that I've been working on..
Who loves that cute Gnomie's cutting file of Lisa's?  I do, I do.. This has to be one of the cutest files ever and I was so excited to put some of those adorable images to use..

so, with that said here is the scrapbook layout I created:

I decided to scrap a photo of my kids when they were younger and found one of many photos that they helped me in the kitchen baking something.. Those are the photos that remind of me of home.. My kids are all in their 20's now, so these are some precious memories for sure..

How about a few close ups:

I decided to have the froggy sitting on top of the Gnome home, so sized him a little bigger and for details, I chalked all of the edges and added some baby pink Stickles here and there..
Both of these can be found in the Gnomie's Cutting file

I wanted to add a branch to hold the next of eggs and the perfect one is definitely on the Winter Cardinal cutting file.. just made two different tone pink berries and light green leaves..
chalked all of those little berries and added some pink stickles as well.. a lot of work, but so worth it at the end..

and finally the Home sign. I love adding little single elements to my pages and the bird sitting on sign with the lantern on the side was just the perfect touch.. I love lanterns and have all over my house, inside and out :)  So, that is so me right there..
all of those can be found in the Gnomie's Cutting file

Thank you for stopping by today and checking out what I've created for todays reveal..
Till next time..
Get scrappy Ya'll..
hugs
