Lion Birthday Shaped Cards

Hey, it's Leah sharing a boy and girl shaped card set. I am always running low on birthday cards. Never have the right one I want, so I just thought maybe I ought to make a couple. I've always had a fondness for shaped cards so created this mixing a few cut file sets.
Aren't these darling? They are pretty little. The cards were sized to fit in a standard A2 envelope which means these are pretty small. But honestly, they are even cuter in real life with the smaller size!
For a tiny bit more interest, I've added stars and Wink of Stella to the balloons and to the cake.
Well a short and sweet post for today since it's a holiday! Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope you have a fun and safe night! Here are the files used...

Guest Designer ~ Lisa Kellett plus New File and FREEBIE Friday

TGIF, everyone! I have a few sweet new files for you this week. Here's what's new in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons store:

I also want to remind you about our new Linky Party. Instead of having a challenge with a theme, we want you to link up any and every project you create using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons this month for a chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate to the PPPR store. How easy is that? You can find out all of the details and link up your project(s) HERE. We can't wait to see what you've been creating using PPPR files!

And here's this week's FRIDAY FREEBIE. This file will be available as a free download for one week, then it will be moved to the 99 Cent Downloads section of the store.  This freebie includes SVG., DXF, .JPG, and .PNG files. YAY!

This week, we have a Guest Designer who is fairly new to the crafting world, but has a lot of heart and enthusiasm. She is Lisa Kellett, found on her blog, LK Designed Projects. Lisa is sharing her birthday inspired projects with you this week.

She created a banner and a card using BIRTHDAY PANDA Cutting Files and SIMPLE BANNER SHAPES Cutting Files.

Lisa used soft colors and sweet accents to create this birthday card:

Here's a picture of her banner that she plans on using for future celebrations:

Here's a close up on that banner:

Thanks Lisa!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to come back this weekend for more PPPR inspiration.

Easy does it!

Yep! Nothing earth-shattering here today. We all need some quick and fun projects sometimes, right?
Ruth here sharing a card my teen daughter and I put together in a very short period of time. You know the time when you have a birthday party in a couple of hours and you need a fun card to help celebrate?

Super cute and so easy and quick to put together using:

and for the balloon:

So many possibilities with these files - if I'd included a cake, this could have been entered into the Get Cookin' challenge! Oh, you did know about that, didn't you? Be sure to click on the Monthly Challenge image at the top of the right side column. We had a blog hop yesterday, too, if you're looking for inspiration or freebies or a chance to win blog hop candy...

Thanks so much for visiting today!
Happy crafting!

Cute Cake Card

I may be bragging a bit, but I think this is a super cute card!
Hi! It's Ruth here today from Paper and Musings and I had a lot of fun creating this card with the shaped cake card from the Birthday Panda Cutting Files set.

I added some embossing, some coloring, some inking, bling and pearls and voila a fun card for my niece!

Here's a look at all the fun images in this set.

I hope you have as much fun making your loved ones feel special for their birthdays as I did!

Have a great day!
