Cameo Creations Back to School Challenge

Hey, everyone!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge.  YAY!!!  The challenge this time is to create a Back to School project using your Silhouette machine. Here's what I created:

The pencils and ruler on this card are from the new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Primary Supplies Cutting Files set.  I used the pencils as a background image, and I printed and cut the ruler to use as a border.  I added stitching lines to the background square using my Silhouette Cameo by creating an inset shape and changing the line style to be this dashed and dotted style. The tag is from the PPPR Layered Tags 1 Cutting Files set, and the sentiment is a sneak peek of a Pink by Design stamp set I designed that should hopefully be coming out really soon!  I added some ribbon and twine, and my card was all done!  I hope you like it!

Now, it's your turn!  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other talented Design Team members created, then link up your own Silhouette-created Back to School project.  One lucky linker will win a $10 Gift Certificate to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!  How exciting!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back tomorrow with a Guest Designer, some new files, and a new Friday Freebie!  YAY!  :)  I hope to see you then!

Sorry I've Been So Crabby

Happy Hump Daaa-aaay, everyone!  It's my day to post over at Pink by Design, and I decided to create a CAS card and a SNEAK PEEK for you.  YAY!  Here's what I created:

I created this simple card with a Pink by Design stamp set I designed that will be coming out soon.  The crab and the sentiment are both from that set.  I stamped the crab on some patterned paper.  Then, I stamped another crab on white paper and fussy cut the eyes and teeth out to adhere to the patterned crab.  I also used a red marker to color in parts of the crab to add a little dimension.  The background shape was created with my Cuttlebug Fancy Frames embossing folder, and I just cut around the embossing.  I added some jute twine and a fun button, and my card was all done.

I hope you like my little card.  There are so many great stamp sets coming out this month...I can't wait for you to see them all.

Thanks for stopping by, everyone, and I hope you have a great day!

Pink by Design Sneak Peek!!!

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I'm super excited about the upcoming March Release of Pink by Design stamps next Friday.  A few stamp sets I've designed are coming out, and there are several more that I just MUST have.  Here's a sneak peek of one of the stamp sets I designed:

This card was super easy to do.  I stamped the bandages and hearts on patterned paper and cut them out, then adhered them to the turquoise patterned paper with foam dots.  Then, I added that to a white card base and stamped my sentiment at the bottom.  All of the stamps...the bandage, heart, and sentiment...come from a new stamp set that will be released on March 15.  You don't want to miss this release.  There are TONS of fun stamps coming out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back on Monday with another project for you.  Have a great Saturday!

Happy Hoo-lidays Gift Bag

Happy Friday, everyone!  It's Not-a-Card Friday at Pink by Design, and I wanted to make a gift bag to go along with our tag theme this week.  Here it is:

The little owl on the gift bag is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Little Hoot Cutting Files set.  I embossed his body with my QuicKutz Bloom embossing folder and inked up all of the pieces.  Then, I attached him to the gift bag using my ATG gun with a little ribbon border behind her.

The tag is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Layered Tags Cutting Files Set.  I stamped the little owl from the Pink by Design Chick with Brains Stamp Set, colored him with my Copic markers, and added a little Santa hat from the Little Hoot Cutting Files set.   The to: and from: is from the Pink by Design Christmas Wishes stamp set, and the sentiment is from the Pink by Design Winter Fun stamp set.

Don't forget about this week's challenge that's going on over at Pink by Design.  All you have to do is link up a tag that you made.  You could win a $10 gift certificate to the Pink by Design store.  To make it easy, you can even link up right here:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend and a very Merry Christmas! :)

Talk Nerdy to Me

Happy Monday, everyone!  I hope you're having a wonderful day so far!  Today is my Design Team day over at Action Wobbles, and I have a quick little card to share with you today.  Here it is:

I got this fun little image and sentiment from Pink by Design's Chick with Brains stamp set.  I love how quirky this little chick looks, and I thought he'd be perfect for an Action Wobble card.  I colored the image with my Copic markers.  The notebook paper cut came from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Notebook Pages Cutting Files, and I filled it with a pattern from the PPPR School Days Pattern Pack.  The sentiment is stamped on a shape from the PPPR Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files set.  I added some ink, some twine, and some brads, and my little card was all done.

Of course, I had to take an action shot for you.  I just love how fun Action Wobbles make a card!  You can purchase your own Action Wobbles from the World of Wobble Site or from the Royal Castle Shoppe.

Here are the Copic colors I used to color the image:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back Wednesday with PPPR Design Team Day and more projects from me, too!  Have a great day!

Emotional Oranges

Happy Monday!  It's my day to post over at Pink by Design, and I have a cute little set of cards to share with you today.  Here they are:

These cards each measure 3.75 x 4.25 inches.  I got all of these oranges and sentiments  from the newest stamp set I designed for Pink by Design: Orange You Awesome.  I stamped the oranges on different patterned papers and gave them different faces.  That way, they would match the sentiments I used.  I created the background by stamping one of the PBD Big Hexagon Stamps in different colors on white paper.  Then, I cut them out and arranged them on kraft cardstock.  I matted that on black cardstock, then layered it on a card made from kraft cardstock.  I stamped the sentiments on labels I cut out using my Spellbinders Shapeabilities  Ribbon Tag Trio Three.

To add a little more fun, I put each of the oranges on an Action Wobble.  I inked up all the edges I could with black ink, added some ribbon, and my little cards were all done! :)

By the way, did you see all of the new stamps Pink by Design released this weekend?  If not, you should definitely go check them out HERE.  Such great sets!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Monday! :)

New Stamp Sets!

Hey, everyone!  I just got back from a FANTABULOUS vacation, and I've been catching up on e-mail, facebook, and blog land.  Just wanted to let you know (if you were wondering) that my Etsy shop is back open, and I'll be working to get some new cutting and graphic files up by next week.  I can't wait for you to see what I've been working on!  :)

I also wanted to share the new stamp sets I designed for Pink by Design.  Because of my vacation, I haven't had a chance to create anything with them yet, but here they are.  I hope you'll go check them out (just click on the pictures to go to the store).

Arigato!

Happy Monday, everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful last-day-of-April!  This is Lisa from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons, and I have a sweet little thank you card to share with you today.  Here it is:

I got this cute little Asian Kokeshi Doll from and the cherry blossoms background from the Silhouette Online Store.  The Kokeshi Doll was a print and cut file that I cut out with my Silhouette Cameo, and I simply added a few jewels to her for some dimension.  The sentiment (which means Thanks You in Japanese) is from the Pink by Design Let's Do Sushi Stamp Set (which I designed...hee, hee!  Sorry...still so excited!). Then, just a little ribbon, and my thank you card was all done!  I hope you like it!

By the way, did you know that Pink by Design is giving away a Silhouette Cameo?  Check out the details HERE! :)  Thanks for stopping by today! :)

Pink by Design April Release Blog Hop

For my SOUS April Showers post, click HERE. :)

Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the Pink by Design April Release Blog Hop! I'm so glad you're tuning in, because there are so many AMAZING stamps coming out this month! We have lots of projects to share with you that showcase the newest PBD stamps, plus there's lots of awesome blog candy along the way!

If you've come from Melisa's blog, you're in the right place. If you've stumbled upon my post and would like to start from the beginning, head on over to Pink by Design.

By the way, Pink by Design is offering a grand prize for this hop: a Big Shot! Just think...if you won the Big Shot, you could use it with the new Pink by Design Dies that are coming out in this release. All you have to do to be entered for the Big Shot is visit each and every blog in the hop and leave a comment on each blog. For each comment you leave, you will get an entry. You can also share the Stamp Release on your own blog, Facebook Page or Pinterest, and leave a comment telling us you did so. You can really rack up the entries this way! :) Plus, you'll be entered to win my own little bit of blog candy (which I'll tell you about later).

Now, on to my project. I decided to make some cute little love notes using 3 of the stamps sets that are being released today. Here they are (you can see a larger pic by clicking on it):

Okay, before I go into the details of how I made these little notes, I HAVE to share some SUPER EXCITING news!!!  A few months ago, Sarah Hamer from Pink by Design gave me an exciting opportunity to try designing a stamp set for PBD, and I DID!!!  I designed two: a set of sushi-related sentiments (Let's Do Sushi) and a matching set of sushi images (Got Sushi?).  I had so much fun creating the stamp sets, and I hope you'll check them out in the PBD store.  If everything goes well, I'm hoping I'll be able to design some more stamps in the near future. :)  Whew...so glad I finally got to tell you!  I've been dying over here!! ;)  Now, on with the details of the love notes.

These are all 3.25" square cards. One super easy thing I did for these was open up digital papers in Silhouette Studio and size them to be 3" square.  Then, I just printed them out and cut them with my paper trimmer (since they were only squares).  I could have also used the print and cut feature. One card actually uses a Silhouette Studio cut file that I filled with a pattern and then printed.  Also, the stamped images were partly stamped on patterned paper and partly colored with my Copic markers.  I really need to get those things out more often...they are super fun to play with.   I'll just quickly list what I used for each little card below its picutre.

Paper: Silhouette Online Store--Sunburst Square cut file filled with Yellow Dot printable pattern

Sushi Image and Sentiment: PBD Got Sushi? Stamp Set

Fire image: found somewhere with Google...lol

Here's the inside: I used another new stamp: the Pink by Design Bamboo Background Stamp here and then added a red circle for writing space. I was hoping it might remind you a little of the Japanese flag. :)

Okay! Now, how about a little BLOG CANDY????

One lucky follower will win two Basic Grey 6 x 6" paper pads.  Here's what you need to do for a chance to win:
