Nutty, punny fun!

Hi, and happy Sunday! I hope you're not too tired from hopping around on the internet yesterday! And if you didn't hop yesterday, please consider hopping today. Start right here with yesterday's post and you'll be all set to go!

It's Ruth here and I've got an interactive card overflowing with Pretty Papers, Pretty Ribbons goodness! I used patterned papers as well as cut files for the images and the card itself!

Take a peak!

For the die cuts, I used:

Nuts About You Cutting Files

Tri-Fold Shutter Card Cutting Files

For the papers I used:

Pumpkin Spice Falling Leaves

Pumpkin Spice Pattern Pack 2

This design was so quick and easy using print and cut. I changed the colors for the images by using the eyedropper tool in Silhouette Studio and the colors from the patterned papers. The squirrel is a traditional die cut - I love all the dimension he (she) adds to the front!

If you'd like more info about my card, feel free to stop by my blog Paper and Musings.

I hope you'll join in the fall challenge this month. Click on the image for the challenge in the right sidebar or click on the Monthly Challenge tab at the top of the page for all the info.

Happy crafting!

Ruth

Guest Designer ~ Faith Wallace, Friday Freebie, and BUNDLES!

TGIF, everyone! I can't believe its already August! Our Guest Designer this week is Faith Wallace from The Crafting Professor. She has a lot of fun stuff over on her blog! You definitely need to stop by and check it out! She created a few awesome cards to share with us for her Guest Post. Check out this adorable honey card, she used Honey Bees Cutting Files to create it. She adds just the right amount of flair and her color combos are awesome!

She also created this fantastic card that will definitely have you thinking about Halloween and Fall! PPPR's Potion Bottles Cutting Files were used for this fun card:

This week, I've been taking care of some business-y stuff (no fun!) and getting ready for my daughters to go back to school (today is their first day back!), so I didn't have any time for designing. I was able to get some paper bundles in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store. These digital paper bundles are great because they save you from 14% to over 20% (depending on the bundle). What a great deal! You can see these in the store by clicking on the photos.

I also want to invite you all to play along with this month's Hot Challenge. You have until tomororw to link up! The project can be anything that has to do with HOT! It can be summer themed, but it doesn't have to be...as long as it reminds us of something HOT and uses PPPR files. You could win a $20 Gift Certificate to the PPPR store, so why not create a project and link up a photo of it. You can find all of the details about the challenge HERE.

Finally, there's a new FRIDAY FREEBIE in the store. This file will be available as a free download for one week, then it will be moved to the 99 Cent Downloads section of the store.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow with some more PPPR inspiration. Have a fantastic Friday!

You Are My Lobster

Woo, hoo!!!!! I just LOVE Saturdays, don't you! Today, I have a fun little card to share with you. Here it is:

I got this cute little guy from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Little Lobster Cutting Files. I thought he was perfect to go with this sentiment from the Pretty Cute Stamps Sea Ya Soon Stamp Set (which I stamped on a banner from the PPPR Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files set). I created the card base by mirroring a shape from the PPPR Layered Labels 3 Cutting Files set and welding the two resulting shapes together. The dotted paper is from the PPPR Spring Fling Polka Dots Digital Paper Pack. I added some pretty ribbon and some doodles, and my fun card was all done! I hope you like it!

Don't forget that there is a HOT Challenge going on right now. You can upload anything that has to do with HOT and uses PPPR files for a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to the PPPR Store. Why not give it a try? You can find out all of the details here:

Also, this cute Little Veggies set is on sale THIS WEEKEND ONLY! You can get this set for 20% off until some time on Monday. :)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and be sure to come back tomorrow for some more fun Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons inspiration.

Hawaiian Birthday Card

Hey, everyone! I realized that I forgot to share the birthday card I made for my daughter during my birthday party post last weekend. When I was getting ready for her birthday, I had tons to do to get ready for an upcoming vacation (which we took a little bit ago). So, I decided to create a simple print and cut card for her. I think it turned out really cute. :)

I used the Aloha Cutting Files and Luau Basic Patterns Digital Papers to create this little cutie. The sentiment is from Pink By Design's Aloha stamp set. The inside of the card says "means Happy Birthday".

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Come back tomorrow for more Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons inspiration. :)

Guest Designer ~ Laura Budde, WINNERS, and a Friday FREEBIE!

Whew! It's finally Friday! Here's to wishing you all a great weekend! We're sending you off into the weekend with some fabulous inspiration and a new FREEBIE! Plus, I have the winners of our Girly Challenge to share.

Our Guest Designer, Laura Budde, is bringing you some awesome designs! You can find her over at Cool Beans by L B...make sure to leave her love!

Just look at these! Laura used the Are We There Yet? Cutting Files and Spring Fling Polka Dots Digital Paper on this adorable travel journal! I hope she fills it up with great memories and adventures!

This card! How sweet is this card!?!?! Laura used the Center Panel Step Card available in the store and added the Root Beer Float Cutting File to complete this perfect card for a great teacher!! Love the pun Laura!

Okay, I'm so sorry to say that I don't have any new sets for you this week. As soon as we got back from our vacation, we got the keys to a new rental house, so this week has been filled with tons of little car trips and lots of cleaning and unpacking. So...very little time for designing. But, I do have a fun little FREEBIE for you, and I'll be back next week with some new files for the store.

The FRIDAY FREEBIE this week is this fun little bottle of sunscreen. This file will be available as a free download for one week, then it will be moved to the 99 Cent Downloads section of the store.  This freebie includes SVG., DXF, .JPG, and .PNG files. YAY!

Okay, now for the winners of the Girly Challenge. We only had 3 entries for this challenge, so choosing the top 3 was really easy. So, here they are (in no particular order):

Sherrie ~Sherrie Scraps with Passion

Glorajean ~ Glora's Crafts

Gloria ~ Facebook Entry

And, the randomly chosen winner of the $20 Gift Certificate to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons is Gloria Dasher! Congratulations, Gloria! Email me at lisanorris at prettypapergraphics dot com to claim your prize.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to check back tomorrow for some more PPPR inspiration. :)

Luau Birthday Party Decorations

Happy Saturday, everyone! Can you believe it's already the last day of May? Craziness!!!! My oldest daughter turns 13 tomorrow (YIKES!), and we had a Luau Birthday Party for her a couple of weeks ago (since we've been on vacation this past week). So, I wanted to share with you how I decorated for her party. So, I hope you enjoy the TONS and TONS of photos (believe me, I narrowed it down).

Here's my sweet Madi under the 3D tree I found at a party store:

I created this banner using the Aloha and Simple Banner Shapes Cutting Files, along with the new Luau Basic Patterns Digital Papers:

I have Pinterest (and the Walmart bakery) to thank for the food ideas I put together:

Then, the girls had pizza (Hawaiian was included, of course). Afterwards, they got to create their own sundaes.

And, we couldn't have a Luau without Hawaiian Punch, right? ;)

I created these party favors using the Pineapple Gift Box Cutting Files. I filled them with nail polish, chapstick, Starbursts, and Almond Joys. The girls also got to take home their coconut cups, grass skirts, and leis.

And, in case you missed it...I created this printable invitation using the Aloha Cutting Files (which include clip art files, also).

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Come back tomorrow for more PPPR inspiration. :)

Guest Designer ~ Georgiana Carson Plus New File and FREEBIE Friday!!!

Woohoo Friday! So glad you're here!!

Summer is just around the corner! That's a good thing after the brutal winter and spring!

This Friday, I'm excited to be bringing you a COOL Friday Freebie, an awesome new file and a fun-tastic Guest Designer, Georgiana Carson! Her designs can be found over at Carson's Creations. Georgiana's designs are simply perfect! She balances color and detail with whimsy!!

She created these awesome projects using the Pineapple Gift Box Cutting Files and Blackboard Cutting Files!

Look at all that scrappy goodness!

Okay, now for this week's new files. My family and I have been on an amazing vacation in Orlando, Florida this past week, so I haven't had any time for designing. I do have a pack of digital papers and a freebie (of course) to show you. Here's what's new in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Store.

This little set of basic patterns coordinates with the Aloha Cutting Files set that I released a couple of weeks ago. You can click on the link below the image to see this set in the store.

Luau Basic Patterns Digital Papers

I also want to invite you to join our GIRLY Challenge that is going on right now. You have a little more time to link up. Linking up a GIRLY project that uses PPPR files will enter you to win a $20 Gift Certificate to the PPPR Store. You can find out all of the details HERE.

Finally, there's a new FRIDAY FREEBIE in the store. I hope you're a FAN!!! ;) This file will be available as a free download for one week, then it will be moved to the 99 Cent Downloads section of the store.  This freebie includes SVG., DXF, .JPG, and .PNG files. YAY!
