Cameo Creations Back to School Challenge

Hey, everyone!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge.  YAY!!!  The challenge this time is to create a Back to School project using your Silhouette machine. Here's what I created:

The pencils and ruler on this card are from the new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Primary Supplies Cutting Files set.  I used the pencils as a background image, and I printed and cut the ruler to use as a border.  I added stitching lines to the background square using my Silhouette Cameo by creating an inset shape and changing the line style to be this dashed and dotted style. The tag is from the PPPR Layered Tags 1 Cutting Files set, and the sentiment is a sneak peek of a Pink by Design stamp set I designed that should hopefully be coming out really soon!  I added some ribbon and twine, and my card was all done!  I hope you like it!

Now, it's your turn!  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other talented Design Team members created, then link up your own Silhouette-created Back to School project.  One lucky linker will win a $10 Gift Certificate to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!  How exciting!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back tomorrow with a Guest Designer, some new files, and a new Friday Freebie!  YAY!  :)  I hope to see you then!

Cameo Creations Glitter it Up Challenge

Hi, everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at Cameo Creations.  The challenge this time is to create any project with your Silhouette Machine and add glitter to it.  Here's what I created for this challenge:

I got the shape for this card from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Icee Cutting Files.  I welded two copies of the base shape together to create the card base, then I added the cutting file on top of those welded shapes.  I used glitter card stock for the slushy part of the cut.  I added a stamp from Pink by Design's Illuminate Stamp Set, and my card was all done.  I hope you like it.

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team Members created.  Then, link up your own glittered-up Silhouette created project. We can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!   I'll be back tomorrow with another New File Friday and a new Friday Freebie.  YAY!  I hope to see you then!

Now, it's your turn!  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other DT members created.  Then, link up your own summer-themed project you created using your Silhouette machine.  You have two weeks to link up, and you could win a $10 Gift Certificate to Lettering Delights!

Cameo Creations Mother's Day Challenge

Hey, everyone!  Happy Thursday!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge...YAY!  The challenge this time is to use your Silhouette cutting machine to create a Mother's Day project.  Here's what I created for the challenge:

I got this sweet little hummingbird from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Spring Garden Cutting Files Set.  I liked the colors that came with the SVG files, so I just used the print and cut function in Silhouette Studio to print and cut the layers.  I created the card base by layering some files from the PPPR Scalloped Circles Cutting Files Set and welding them together.  I filled the scalloped shapes with papers from the PPPR Sunny Skies Mod Circles and Chevron Digital Paper Pack.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Our Mothers Stamp Set, and I stamped it on a cut from the PPPR Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files Set.  I added some ink and some ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and my pretty Mother's Day card was all done.  I hope you like it!

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own Silhouette-created Mother's Day project.  We can't wait to see what you create.  You have 2 weeks to link up for a chance to a fabulous prize! :)

A Good Egg ~ Cameo Creations Challenge

Hey, everyone!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge.  Yippee!!!  The challenge this time is to create an Easter-themed project using your Silhouette electronic cutter.  Here's what I came up with:

I got this little egg cup and egg from the new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Egg-cellent Cutting Files Set.  I added a face and bow that I got from the Peachy Keen March 2013 Stamp of the Month.  The fun sentiment is from Pink by Design's Hoppy Easter Stamp Set.

I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Layered Labels 2 Cutting Files Set to create the card base.  I just made a copy of the base shape of the file, mirrored it, and welded the two together. Then, I attached the copied base shape to the front of the card so the card would retain the shape of the label.  I added lots of ink and a pretty ribbon from 3 Girl JAM, and my card was all done.  I hope you like it!

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other design team members created.  Then, link up your own Silhouette-created Easter-themed project. :)  We can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'll be back tomorrow with some projects and a freebie to share.  Have a great day!

Cameo Creations ~ Love Ya Challenge

Yay!!!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge, where we show off what we can do with our Silhouette machines.  The challenge this week is to create a project with a "Love Ya" theme.  Here's what I came up with:

I got this sweet little girl from the brand new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Valentine Kids Cutting Files.  The awesome thing about these kids is that you can switch around their head and the items they hold, so you can have all sorts of different looks.  I put a different head on this little girl file because I like the curly hair.  :)  The card base is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sentiment Spots 2 Cutting Files.  The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye Quilting Bee 6" x 6" paper pack, and the ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbons January Ribbon Club Assortment.  I added some ink and some doodles, and my little card was all done.

I also added an oval and some ribbon to the inside to finish off the card.

Now, it's your turn!  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other fabulous Design Team members created, then link up your own Silhouette-created Love Ya project.  We can't wait to see what you create!  You have 2 weeks to link up, and you could win this fabulous prize:

$10 to Spend at Lettering Delights

Hey, everyone!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge!  YAY!  The theme of this challenge is  Welcome 2013.  So we needed to create a Welcome 2013 project using our Silhouette machine.  Here's the card I created for the challenge:

This card measures 9" x 4", so it will fit in a #10 letter envelope.  I got this fun party chica from the Silhouette Online Store.  The "cheers" part of the sentiment is from Pink by Design's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun stamp set, and the "Happy New Year" part is from Pink by Design's Christmas Wishes stamp set.  I added some ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and my simple and fun card was all done!

Now, it's your turn! Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own Welcome 2013-themed Silhouette project.  You have 2 weeks to enter, and we can't wait to see what you create!

Cameo Creations ~ White Christmas Challenge

YAY!!!!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge!  The theme for this challenge is White Christmas.  So, you can create any project with your Silhouette machine that has to do with that theme.  It could be about snow, or snowmen, or it could be a white Christmas card.  Lots of possibilities with this one.  Here's what I came up with for the challenge:

I

I got this Snowflake Swoosh Card from the Silhouette Online Store.  I embossed the background with my Cuttlebug Snowflakes Embossing Folder and inked it up with some white pigment ink.  I added some pretty jewels and a sentiment from Pink by Design's Snowflakes Stamp Set.

I created a pocket on the inside with pretty patterned paper that would show on the front.  I added a little ribbon trim to the top of the paper.  Now, I can send some goodies to someone special this Christmas in the little pocket (something more than a dollar, I think...LOL!  That's all I had on hand to tuck in there for the photo.) ;)

Okay, now it's your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created for this challenge.  Then, you can link up your own project for a chance to win this fun little prize pack:

By the way, we're having a Design Team call over at Cameo Creations!  We'd love to add some Silhouette-lovin' crafters to our team.  Check out all of the details on the Cameo Creations Facebook Page

Cameo Creations Thanksgiving Blog Hop

Hey, everyone!!! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend so far!  Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the Cameo Creations Thanksgiving Blog Hop.   If you've come here from Jessica's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just stumbled upon my post and would like to start from the beginning, head on over to Cameo Creations.  This hop is all about creating Thanksgiving projects with our Silhouette cutting machines, and we have a fun challenge and some blog candy up for grabs!  YAY!  I decided to make an easel card for this hop/challenge. Here's my project:

I created the base for this card (the background piece) by welding together this doily shape I found in the Silhouette Online Store with a rectangle in Silhouette Studio.  Then, I filled it with a digital paper from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons (PPPR) Pumpkin Spice Cream Polka Dots pack and used the print and cut feature in Silhouette Studio to cut it out.  The plaid sections of the card were also created using print and cut.  I filled those shapes with the a pattern from the PPPR Pumpkin Spice Gingham & Plaid Digital Paper Pack.

This sweet little pilgrim couple came from the PPPR First Thanksgiving Cutting Files Set.  Their faces were a little small to cut out their facial features at this size, so I used the print and cut feature for their faces.  I just grouped the face, eyes, eyebrows, nose, and mouths together, printed them out, and cut them.  I had to do a little maneuvering with the "release compound path" function to make sure the pupils on the girl's face wouldn't cut out, but it worked out.  I'm really happy with how their little faces turned out.  I also printed their hands and legs so the skin colors would match.  This is also a great trick to use if you don't have the right card stock color for their skin (I always have trouble with that).

The scalloped shape on this label was originally a circle I found in the Silhouette Online Store, and I just smooshed it so it would be an oval.  It is filled with the same pattern as the background. I drew the white oval in Silhouette Studio and stamped this sentiment from Pink by Design's Bountiful Blessings Stamp Set.  The banner behind the ovals is from the PPPR Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files Set and was filled with a paper from the the PPPR Pumpkin Spice Diamonds & Paisley Digital Paper Pack.  I love using these digital paper collections because everything is color coordinated and looks great together.

Here's a side view of the card.  I added some jute ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some brads, and my easel card was all done!  I hope you like it!

Our BLOG CANDY for this hop and challenge is a $15 Gift Certificate to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons, a $20 Gift Certificate to Scraptastical Kreations, and $21 worth of digital stamps from Bugaboo Stamps. There are a couple of ways to win.  You can leave a comment on every blog along the hop, and you can enter our challenge.  How do you do that?  Just create a Thanksgiving-themed project with your Silhouette machine and link it up over at Cameo Creations.  Easy peasy!  We hope you'll join in on the fun!

Your next stop in the hop is Sandra.

Here's the entire lineup, just in case you get lost along the way. :)

Cameo Creations Challenge ~ Halloween Treats

Happy Thursday!!! It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge.  The theme this time is to create Halloween Treats with your Silhouette machine.  Here's what I created:

I created this little treat bag using the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Candy Bucket Cutting Files and a 3D Purse Box I found in the Silhouette Online Store.  The box had handles of its own, but I just used the slice tool to cut the handles off so I could use the candy bucket's handles, instead.  I embossed the face of the jack-o-lantern with an embossing folder that came in the Cuttlebug Starter Set of embossing folders.  Then, I inked the raised portions of the embossed design with some white pigment ink so it would stand out a bit more.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Ghostly Greetings Stamp Set, and I stamped it on a shape I had left over from another project. I tied on the tag with 3 Girl JAM Goblin Green Crinkle Ribbon, filled the treat bag with goodies, and my project was all done!

Here's a side view of the bag so you can see how I put the two files together:

Now it's your turn!  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created, then link up your own Silhouette-created Halloween Treats project.  We can't wait to see what you create, and you could win an awesome prize! :)

Cameo Creations Challenge ~ 3D Challenge

YAY!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge!  The challenge this time is to create a 3D project with your Silhouette machine.  Here's what I created:

This fun little treat box would be great as a birthday treat or a party favor box.  I got the box from the Silhouette Online Store.  It came with the little scalloped circle.  I added a cupcake from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Birthday Panda Digital Clip Art set that I printed and cut out with my Cameo.  I cut a couple so I could hand cut parts of the cupcake to pop up with foam tape...just for a little added dimension.  I added a sentiment from Pink by Design's Take the Cake Stamp Set, which I stamped on an banner from the Pink by Design Everyday Banner Stamp Set.  My little box would look a little naked without some ribbon, so I added a beautiful bow that I made with 3 Girl JAM's Cherry Lipstick Crinkle Ribbon and the 3GJ Bow Maker.  I love the pop of color it adds. :)

Now, it's your turn! Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created. Then, link up your own Silhouette-created 3D project.  You could win a $10 Gift Certificate to Kelleigh Rattzlaff Designs.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I'll be back tomorrow for Melisa's Crafty Creations Blog Hop. I hope to see you there! :)

Cameo Creations Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Happy Thursday!!!  It's time for another Cameo Creations Challenge, and this week's theme is Anything Goes.  We all got to work with some gorgeous images this week from Dilo En Espanol. Here's what I came up with:

For this card, I used the Marbella Stamp from Dilo En Espanol.  I was feeling whimsical, so I colored her with some fun colored Copics.  I found this pretty Fancy Square Frame in the Silhouette Online Store and changed its proportions to fit the stamp better.  Then, I used the Offset feature in Silhouette Studio to create a shadow layer around the frame.  I mirrored the shadow layer above and welded the two pieces together to create the card base.  Then, I just added a little Cherry Lipstick Crinkle Ribbon from 3 Girl Jam, and my card was all done!

Now, it's your turn.  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own Silhouette-created project.  Remember, anything goes this week!  One lucky linker will win this awesome prize package:

We can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Cameo Creations Fall Blog Hop

Welcome to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the Cameo Creations Fall Blog Hop. For this hop, we're creating projects with a fall or football theme. If you've come here from Jessica's blog, you're in the right place. If you've just stumbled upon my post and would like to start from the beginning, head on over to Cameo Creations.

Then, you'll be able to link up your own fall or football themed projects (created with your Silhouette machine) over at Cameo Creations to play along. You could win a gift certificate to Bugaboo Digital Stamps and a Close to My Heart Stamp Set from Sandra Rosario!

For this hop, I created this fun fall gift set:

For the card, I simply embossed the front of an A2 sized kraft card with my Sizzix Paisley Palooza Embossing Folder and my Cuttlebug.  I got the leaf from the brand new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Falling Leaves Cutting Files set.  To add some texture, I gently crinkled the leaf, flattened it back out, and added some golden brown ink to show off the wrinkles.  Then, I added a banner from Pink by Design's Everyday Banners Stamp Set, a sentiment from Pink By Design's Big Thoughts Stamp Set, some polka-dotted ribbon, and some ink, and the simple little thank you card was all done.

I got this cute little Abstract Box from the Silhouette Online Store.  I embossed opposite sides of the box with the same embossing folder that I used on the card.  The box is filled with yummy Hershey's minis covered with wrappers I stamped using Pink by Design's Mini Wrappers Stamp Set.  I covered them with the same colors of cardstock I used for the leaves I added around the sides of the box (which I also got from the PPPR Falling Leaves Cutting Files Set).

Now, I've got a little blog candy to share with you. One lucky follower will be the winner of this Pink by Design Beary Merry Christmas Stamp Set. Just think...you could get a jump start on your Christmas Cards with this cutie!

I wanted to make a card I could use as a thank you for teachers or other school workers or volunteers this school year. This card measures 5.75" square. I got the layout from a sketch I saw on Pinterest.  I just love the chevron pattern!  I added patterns to the chevron pieces, background paper, and apple using Silhouette Studio's print and cut feature, added a fun sentiment, some twine, ink, and brads, and my card was all done!

Cameo Creations Challenge ~ Pool Party

Happy Cameo Creations Challenge day!  The theme of this challenge is Pool Party!  Here's my project:

I got this cute little girl and beach ball from my new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Little Swimmers Cutting Files Set. The Belly Band Circle Card came from the Silhouette Online Store, and I thought it was perfect for this little beach ball.  I added a sentiment from Pink by Design's Summer Vacation Stamp Set, some Ice Blue ribbon from 3 Girl Jam, some ink, and some gems, and my card was all done.

I wanted to use bright colors on this card, so I chose to fill some of my pieces with patterns from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Summer Brights: Circles and Spots and Chevron & Stripes Digital Paper Packs. Here's a video to show you how I did it.

Okay, now it's your turn!  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own Silhouette-created Pool-themed project.  We can't wait to see what you create!
