Tools of the Trade layout

Hi fellow scrappers..
It's Nanné here to share a fun layout I created of my son Aaron who works for his dad as an Auto Mechanic :)

Here's what I created:
I absolutely adore this tool set :)

How about some close ups and details about the layout:
the oil containers are potion bottles that added the word OIL to :)

My son being a goof ball as always..
(Takes after his mother LOL)

Had to add a car to layout..
I decided to make it a red one since the garage owns a little red car

My cluster of tools..LOL

I decided to add the clipboard, red screwdriver and flashlight to my layout cause its what they use the garage at a daily basis.. All of them keep a little screwdriver in their shirt pockets along with a little flashlight, plus carry a clipboard around with the work order on it which they fill through out the day :)

HB2U - handyman style

Happy Monday!!  Nicole here today with a card to share with you that I made for my hubby's birthday.  My hubby is a "Mr. Fix It" so I used some of the tools from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Tool Time Cutting Files".

I made a 5 x 7 card so I was able to make my tools rather large.  I did a print and cut with the tools and created an offset to get the white border around them.  My background paper is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Man, Oh Man Pattern Paper Pack 1" digital paper.  It looks so realistic, doesn't it?? and I don't even have a fancy printer :-)

I decided to use some products from my stash (the Scrabble tile stickers) to create the sentiment on my card, added in a few silver brads and the card was done!!  Thanks for stopping by today!!

I Love Dad

I Love Dad

Leah Schaeffer here today to share with you the Father's Day card that I made for my husband. It certainly was a fun card to create! It really was! So much that a girlfriend of mine came over and made a copy of this for her hubby too! =)
A pretty simple card made a little more interesting by adding a few details. I wanted to reinforce the love theme here so I snuck in a few extra hearts, that happened to all be sitting on my desk from left over projects. Using letter stickers made this go a little faster as well. I did take the time to add the nails along the bottom. Not something that you have to do but again, each extra detail makes it that much more special. I love how the printed paper adds to it too! Paper choice in my opinion can make or break a project!

I wanted to share how I did the floss banner. I started with drawing a line between the screw diver banner poles. I then used that as a guide to run a line of glue. I cut the ends to be hidden under the edges. I then tied a separate bow around the popped poles. That was much easier then tying the ends another way. I always try to do my bows on their own if I can! =)

Thanks so much for visiting! We love having you stop in and see what we all are creating using the wonderful items from the shop!
