Kick Up Your Heels

Hello there, Nicole here today!  I hope you are having an enjoyable Labor Day weekend and perhaps even getting some crafty time in :-)  I was able to get in a bit of crafty time in between coats of paint as I am painting my laundry room this weekend.  I have wanted to use the "Cowboy Boot Card" cutting file ever since it hit the PPPR store so I decided to use it to make a feminine cowboy boot card.

It was so easy to put this card together and so fun to use some feminine colors to create it with.  I had the perfect sentiment and it leaves the option open to use this card for all sorts of occasions!!

Now if I only had me a pair of REAL pink cowboy boots - I think I could really kick up my heels!!

Happy 4th of July

Happy Monday and a big thank you for those of you who visited the design team's blogs during our "Totally Awesome 80's" blog hop this past weekend!!  Nicole here today and I am sharing a Fourth of July shaker card I created -

I used the "Star Spangled Card" cutting files from Pretty Paper,Pretty Ribbons to create my card. I did a little bit of tweaking with the file to create the shaker portion of the card - involved some welding, cutting, pasting, ungrouping, etc. . . let's just say it took  me several attempts to actually create what I saw in my mind but I am quite pleased with the outcome.

I hope I have inspired you to look at some of the PPPR files you own and see if you can create a shaker card too.  Thanks for stopping by today - feel free to hop on over to my blog for a visit!

HB2U - handyman style

Happy Monday!!  Nicole here today with a card to share with you that I made for my hubby's birthday.  My hubby is a "Mr. Fix It" so I used some of the tools from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Tool Time Cutting Files".

I made a 5 x 7 card so I was able to make my tools rather large.  I did a print and cut with the tools and created an offset to get the white border around them.  My background paper is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Man, Oh Man Pattern Paper Pack 1" digital paper.  It looks so realistic, doesn't it?? and I don't even have a fancy printer :-)

I decided to use some products from my stash (the Scrabble tile stickers) to create the sentiment on my card, added in a few silver brads and the card was done!!  Thanks for stopping by today!!

Don't you just love blueberry muffins?!  and how could one ever resist a smiling one?!

Mother's Day Card

Hello there, Nicole here today to share with you a Mother's Day card I made.

I have to share with you that my inspiration for this card came from the last PPPR blog hop Facebook header.

There is something about watering cans and flowers that always draws my eye.  I must confess my actual green thumb abilities are sorely lacking but at least I make up for it with paper, LOL!!

To create my card I used the following Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' cutting files -

Though it is a Mother's Day card, it also fits in well with our monthly challenge - "Go Green".  Don't forget to add your projects to the challenge!!

Scooping Up Some Fun

Happy Monday, Nicole here today.  I hope you were able to join the PPPR design team this weekend and hop along with our "Go Green" blog hop.  Today I have a layout to share with you that I created -

I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Ice Cream Treats" cutting files to create the title and also the cute sundae.  For my youngest daughter's birthday we celebrated with frozen yogurt instead of the traditional cake and I thought these files were a perfect way to scrapbook the memory.

I chose not to use the sprinkles on my project but they do come with the cut file if you need them for your project :-)

I chose to use the "Ice Cream Treats" cutting files BUNDLE but they area also available individually too.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Hey Chickie!!

Happy Monday!!  Nicole here today to share a card I recently made for one of my friend's daughters.  She is also my middle daughter's good friend and one of my dance students.  She was attending a weekend retreat for school leadership and parents/family/friends were asked to send letters to support and encourage the students.  I, being a crafter, of course asked if I could make a card!!

I used the following Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' cut files to create my card -

I put my cute little chick on an action wobble and added some bright colored sequins and the perfect sentiment to go along!!  Thanks for stopping by today!!  Don't forget about the fabulous spring sale going on right now!!

Dr. Thank You Card

Hello, Nicole here today to share with you a card I made.  I made this card specifically for a friend of ours who is a surgical nurse.  My middle daughter is thinking she wants to go into the medical field for her future career and our friend allowed my daughter to "shadow" her on two of her work days.  I hope that helps you understand my card better now -

I used one of the Dr. files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Check Up" cutting files set.

I used coloring similar to my daughter's skin and hair to make it look as though this will be my daughter in the future :-).  For more details on my card, please visit my BLOG.  That's all from me today.

Thanksgiving Card

Happy Monday, Nicole here today.  I am still trying to finish up some fall projects before I dive into any more Christmas/winter ones.  The weather has gotten cold here so it definitely feels more like winter than fall but my calendar tells me otherwise.  I wanted to have one more Thanksgiving card on hand so this is what I came up with -

This is an A2 sized card folded at the top.  I used PPPR's "Pumpkin Spice Pattern Pack 1" digital paper for my background paper.  I used the PPPR "Thankful Titles 3" cutting files for my title. I added some cute little acorns using the PPPR "Acorn Faces" cutting files and omitting the layer with the smile face on it.  I finished off my card with some doodling using my white gel pen; gold skittles and some fall colored twine.

Don't forget about the PPPR "Fall" challenge - I'd say my card fits in perfectly for this challenge :-)

HB2U

Happy Monday, Nicole here today with a birthday card to share with you that I made for a good friend of our family.

I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Happy Hour" cutting files for the smiling beer bottle on my card.  I made this a tall card and it fits into a standard sized business envelope.  I used some scrabble thickers for my sentiment, did a little inking and gel pen doodling.  I basically kept this card fairly simple as it was for a man :-)  Thanks for stopping by today!!  Have you checked out the new products in the PPPR store lately?  Some fun new ones perfect for the upcoming holidays.
