Lion Birthday Shaped Cards

Hey, it's Leah sharing a boy and girl shaped card set. I am always running low on birthday cards. Never have the right one I want, so I just thought maybe I ought to make a couple. I've always had a fondness for shaped cards so created this mixing a few cut file sets.
Aren't these darling? They are pretty little. The cards were sized to fit in a standard A2 envelope which means these are pretty small. But honestly, they are even cuter in real life with the smaller size!
For a tiny bit more interest, I've added stars and Wink of Stella to the balloons and to the cake.
Well a short and sweet post for today since it's a holiday! Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope you have a fun and safe night! Here are the files used...

Happy 7th Birthday Layout

Hi all Leah Schaeffer with you on this fine Monday! Only a couple Monday's left and it will officially be summer time for my household! The other thing coming up, on the last day of school actually is my youngest's 7th birthday. So I created this layout in anticipation of his coming birthday.
I can't wait to fill it with photos!
I have cut the little girl version of this birthday cake cutting file and was excited to use the little boy. I love the statement this piece has! I added 7 large birthday candles and designed a title using free fonts from online.
I added lots and lots of shine around the page with Wink of Stella.

Instead of adding photos directly to the page I decided to cut photo mats. Photos to come of course!
Because of the bright colors, I added a whole vellum panel to the background. It helped mute the colors enough for all the die cutting to pop. I also cut another layer of almost all of the die cuts in dark brown and off set those to create a subtle shadow. But again, that allowed the images to show up a bit better against the background.
Ok, here are the 2 sets I used!

Chihuahua Birthday Cake

Leah Schaeffer sharing with you today! I created this birthday card for a special little girl! I asked her mom a bit about her so created this with a few of her favorite things in mind. And the blinged it up where I could! This birthday cake file, along with the candles is one of my all time favorite die cuts and I find there are unlimited ways to use them!

I heat embossed the background for more interest and shine and then went a little crazy with the wink of stella and other glitter accents. To add dimension to the card I cut multiple layers of the birthday cake. I love how that makes the cut more substantial.

And the adorable cutting files I used...

Make a Wish layout

Hi fellow scrappers..
It's Nanné here today to share a fun Birthday layout I created for my son's 22nd Birthday, which was last week.. I'm telling ya, where does the time go?..

Here is what I created using some of the fun files from the Make a Wish cutting file:

This was a lot of fun to put together.. I used one of the labels from the  Layered labels 1 cutting file to create the large black background..

How about a few close ups and details:

the birthday cake  is in the Make a Wish cutting file and the Arrow is in the Arrows cutting file..
I attached both files using foam tape..

I added the fun sentiment/word art from the Make a Wish cutting file and the tab is in the newest cutting file Tab shapes cutting file..

I love these candles and wanted to create a fun border with them, they are also in the Make a Wish cutting file.. I also added a scalloped trim using the scalloped border from the Borders two cutting file

Here are the cutting files I used:

Tab Shapes Cutting Files Borders 2 Cutting Files

Thanks for stopping by today..
Till next time..

Birthday Girls

Hi friends, Leah Schaeffer here to share my favorite PPPR project to date! Hope you like it as well! This sweet little card did pretty well at my county fair as well! Yay for ribbons! I created this in particular for my youngest sister who turned 25 (whoa, I've had this card for almost 2 months without posting it yet! How could I stand that! LOL!)
    Ok, well onto the card!

As darling at this little girl was, I wanted to give her a different hair do. Something a bit more ethnic feeling. Easy to do with the extra files the shop has! You'll see the example below with the photos of the cutting files I used.

Oh my! The shine! This card is so pretty! No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the sparkle to really shine for the photos. But the shirt, hair bow and yellow on the cake are covered in Wink of Stella. Not to mention the bling-ed out background!

The starburst cutting files are some of my favs in the shop. How I only came up with this idea now, I have no idea. It took some serious time but I did the background in steps. The darker shade was shaped with a star background pattern and dusted with Perfect Pearls. The lighter shade was stamped and dusted but with a different stamp and color of Perfect Pearls. Then over all that, I used a balloon stencil with Versamark. It was my first time using an embossing powder that once heated turns sticky. That was the perfect base for all that glitter! This background is easily my favorite background I've ever created!

Okay, now let me share the files I used!

Birthday Candles

Leah Schaeffer sharing today with you. Hope you've all recovered from the fun hop over the weekend! I am so excited about these great files from Lisa. We look forward to seeing what you all create and share with us as well.
Originally this was designed as a shaped card. I don't know what my die cut machine was doing but it wouldn't allow me (after ruining 3 sheets of paper) to cut it. So I just added the candles to a regular card base. I love these candles! These are so fun! The candles were cut on white textured card stock and colored with Distress Ink. I love the look! So vibrant and fun! For a bit more interest, I added a small cluster of embellishments.

This file my the the sweetest ever! I have something special coming up next time using more from this! But the simple candle set alone is worth it!

Quick post today but thanks for stopping by!

Bring on the Birthday Card!

Hi, Ruth here! It's birthday central in my crafting space in February and so I thought I'd share a fun card I created with Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files today!

This fun, celebration in paper is brought to you by the following files from the store:

Center Panel Step Card Cutting Files

I loved the colors that Lisa used in her images for these files and thought it'd be fun to create them with some inks and watercolor paper. I love the soft, but bright and fun look that came from it.

This project would be perfect for the Anything Goes Challenge going on right now! That's right, any creation featuring Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files qualifies! Be sure to check out yesterday's blog hop for lots of inspiration from the DT plus a freebie and a chance at some awesome blog candy!

Happy crafting!
