Are we there yet?

Hello! Ruth here!
It's so good to get back to scrapping after the end of the school year gift-making extravaganza! Don't get me wrong, I love making the gifts, but I love so much about scrapbooking. It's just a whole package of awesome for me!

So, you may have guessed that I'm sharing a layout today!
And it's from my son's 8th grade promotion, which I'm so glad to have scrapped when it hasn't even been a week since it happened! I just loved this picture and Lisa had the perfect files for helping to tell this story! I didn't use any of the files you might expect I would use, either.

Here's my page:

I used files from:

Are We There Yet Cutting Files

Are We There Yet Cutting Files
for the title! So perfect for these young men who are ready to get outta dodge (our K-8 school) and on to something bigger and better (hello, high school!)

Arrows Cutting Files

Arrows Cutting Files
because these young men are going places (and arrows are awesome!)

Gnomies Cutting Files

Gnomies Cutting Files
the sign tells where they are headed - perfect!

You can stop by my blog if you would like to see more detailed pictures, would like to leave me some love (I always love that) or are interested to see what challenges I'm entering.

Thanks so much for coming by today!

Happy crafting!

Ruth

Ain't no Lion

Hi, and Happy Thursday!

Gloria here from Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer.

For my project today I made an A2 size card using PPPR Safari Love Cutting Files for the adorable little lion. Before putting the lion together I chalked all the edges and used a VersaMarker around lion main. I also added some Glossy Accents to the eyes and nose. The grass cut is from PPPR Flower Assortment Cutting Files and I ran some Tim Holtz mowed loan distress ink over it. For the blue sky background I did some water coloring for the first time, and I have to say it was fun. The sun is from PPPR Day at the Beach Cutting Files and the Polaroid cut  is from PPPR Photo Frames 1 Cutting Files. The sentiment is from Pink By Design Jungle Fever Stamp set.
Thank You for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Baking Fun!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  It's Michelle from Purple Monkey Moments.  I have a cute little project to share with you today and of course it uses some of Lisa's AMAZING files!!  Here is what I created today:

My daughter and I love to bake, but, of course, we can't eat everything we bake, or we would be the size of a house... so, we give a lot of it away.  These cute little tags are the perfect thing to attach to our baked goods, before we give them to friends.  Here is a close up of each tag:

These tags were created with the Baking Fun cutting file and the tags were cut from the great Layered Labels 1 cutting file.

Here are the other two tags:

Aren't those little kitchen utensils ADORABLE??  They are from the Baking Fun file too!  The tag base is from the Made With Love Tag.

These tags were SO easy to put together!  Lisa's files cut SO wonderfully!  For all the details of my cute tags, you can hop over to my BLOG.  Now my daughter and I just need to find some goodies to make to go along with these tags!

A la prochaine,

Sprinkled with Love card

Hi fellow crafters..
It's Nanné here today to share a cute little shaped card I created using the yummy banana split cutting file :)

Here is what I created:

Its easy to create your own shaped cards using the images from the pretty paper, pretty graphics store..
*I use the Silhouette design software and my Cameo to cut my images..
I first created the shadow  (in the software) by clicking on the "offset icon" and making it 0.100 in size, then used red card stock.
Once I had that done, I did it again, this time making the size 0.200.. which created the bigger shape which I then copied and flipped to create the back of the card.. welding the two bigger pieces together at the top..

I added my image to the red background using foam tape, but before attaching my image I used "studio" white paint to add the dots around my image and then added some details as well, like the whip cream etc

I used some free fonts I have and printed the sentiment right onto the image before I did print and cut..

Files used:
Banana Split Cutting Files
and you can buy it HERE

and their you have my super fun summer themed card..
Thank you for stopping by today
Till next time..
hugs
Nanné

HB2U - handyman style

Happy Monday!!  Nicole here today with a card to share with you that I made for my hubby's birthday.  My hubby is a "Mr. Fix It" so I used some of the tools from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Tool Time Cutting Files".

I made a 5 x 7 card so I was able to make my tools rather large.  I did a print and cut with the tools and created an offset to get the white border around them.  My background paper is from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons' "Man, Oh Man Pattern Paper Pack 1" digital paper.  It looks so realistic, doesn't it?? and I don't even have a fancy printer :-)

I decided to use some products from my stash (the Scrabble tile stickers) to create the sentiment on my card, added in a few silver brads and the card was done!!  Thanks for stopping by today!!
