Pretty Much My Favorite

Hey all! Leah Schaeffer sharing with you today. I really wanted to play with making my own interesting background for a shaped card. Even if you keep a card a bit more simple, there are things you can do for serious impact. Like layering pattern papers using the Pocket Card 1 cutting file. I even designed the card base using this file so that the shapes matched perfectly.

I used a stamp from my stash and heat embossed the sentiment on the Sentiment Spots 3 banner shape. Some colored hemp and hearts also from my stash and I call this sweet little card done!

Love Lantern

Leah Schaeffer sharing with all you die cutting fan today! I've used one of our newest cutting files and I just fell in love. We have another lantern that I've used a few times so I was totally into this new one...maybe I can do something with all the lanterns? Hmmm. Anyways, check out this file if you've not done so yet, Gnomies
Even though this new lantern file came with a heart in the center, I added some foam heart stickers and then reinforced that with the embossed background. I really like the details on this card. Kinda simple, kinda not.
Do you know how hard it is to wait for something to dry before you can finish up the project! I almost ruined this so many times trying to see if it was dry enough to add the layers on top! Ha! I know I'm not alone with that! The shine from the Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents over top make this the coolest embellishment!
Here are the files I've used...

She's got some Smarty Pants!

Yep, even though the challenge is over, I could not resist these super fun new files Lisa added to the shop!
I mean look at them!
Science Lab Cutting Files
Science of Love Cutting Files
They were so perfect for the story of my daughter and her Sophomore Chemistry class. Here's what I did with the new files and a couple of others.

And here's a closeup.

I printed the chemistry lab related images and the atom image on vellum (I know - I need to seek some help for my vellum dependency) and the radioactive symbol on photo paper and then had my Cameo cut them out. (I used the "no" symbol because her class did hardly any labs and somehow my daughter did an awesome job without all the fun of doing labs and received an achievement ribbon so good for her!)

The other shapes I used are:

So do you have some ideas brewing for how to use these files? I sure hope I've inspired you and I hope you'll share your projects in the challenges here or in the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Facebook group whenever you create anything with Lisa's files!

Happy crafting!

We've Moved Card

Hi fellow crafters..
It's Nanné here to share a cute little We've Moved card I created as my design team project..

We are in the midst of packing, painting and moving.  I thought what a fun way to let my friends and family know our new address etc than to create a cute little shaped card.. Wanted to keep it semi simple since I will need to make about two dozen of them :)

Here is what I created:

I created the pretty shaped card using one the labels from the Layered labels 2 cutting file, I copied and flipped the image, then welded them together to create the card base..

That cute little house is in the Home Sweet Home cutting file and then the banner is in the "Sentiment Spots 3" cutting file.  I added some dots with white paint and then added light green stickles to the bushes underneath the windows..

and their you have my cute little "We've Moved" card..

Thanks for stopping by today
Till next time
Hugs
