Filling in Shapes in Silhouette Studio Video Tutorial

Hey, everyone!  I have a quick video to share with you today.  I know some of you love using face stamps on your projects, and I want to show you how you can alter cutting files in Silhouette Studio to make it easier to use these stamps.  It's really easy to erase or fill in facial features on svgs.  Here's a quick video that shows you how:

I hope this helps. :)  I'll be back tomorrow with some new files for my store! YAY!

Don't forget that I'm having a Design Team Call right now.  You can find out all of the details HERE.  The deadline is Sunday, September 9, so hurry (if you're interested).  :)

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great one!

Guest Designer Jeanne Siegel & a VIDEO!!!

TGIF!  I have a super-talented Guest Designer who is sharing some projects with us today.  Jeanne Siegel from Jeanne's Paper Crafts created two adorable cards with the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Fishy Friends Cutting Files set.  Here they are:

She used the Shark, Retro Coral, and Bubbles files on this JAWSOME card!

Ha!  Jeanne created this card with the fun Angry Fish file. I think I may see some PPPR Digi Papers on there, too! Adorable!

You can find all of the details for these projects on Jeanne's Blog.  Be sure to send her some bloggy love! I hope you'll check out all of her projects and become a follower...she always has such super cute stuff to share! :)

Each week, I'll be spotlighting a product here and in my Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Graphics Newsletter.  I'd love it if I could have some guest designers create 1-2 projects with my files for me to use in my Newsletter.  I'll post the pics in the newsletter and on my blog, and I'll be sure to link back to your blog.  If you're interested, please e-mail me at lisanorris at prettypapergraphics dot com.

I also have a short video to share with you today.  Since I'm no longer able to sell .studio files in my store, I wanted to show you how to use .dxf files with the free version of Silhouette Studio.  I hope you'll check it out. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Cameo Creations Challenge ~ Pool Party

Happy Cameo Creations Challenge day!  The theme of this challenge is Pool Party!  Here's my project:

I got this cute little girl and beach ball from my new Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Little Swimmers Cutting Files Set. The Belly Band Circle Card came from the Silhouette Online Store, and I thought it was perfect for this little beach ball.  I added a sentiment from Pink by Design's Summer Vacation Stamp Set, some Ice Blue ribbon from 3 Girl Jam, some ink, and some gems, and my card was all done.

I wanted to use bright colors on this card, so I chose to fill some of my pieces with patterns from the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Summer Brights: Circles and Spots and Chevron & Stripes Digital Paper Packs. Here's a video to show you how I did it.

Okay, now it's your turn!  Head on over to Cameo Creations to see what the other Design Team members created.  Then, link up your own Silhouette-created Pool-themed project.  We can't wait to see what you create!

This card is also perfect for the Pink by Design Ink it Pink Challenge # 9: Get Your Punny On.  :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great one!

You're Jawsome!

Happy Monday, everyone!  Today is my day to post over at Pink By Design, and I'm really excited about the card I have to show you.  And....guess what!?!?!  I actually made a little video!  YAY!  Anyway, here's my project:

I can already tell that this one is going to be one of my all-time favorites!  I really should make more Disney cards, because I always seem to really like the finished project.  I got the JAWSOME shark from my Best of Pixar Cricut Cartridge, and the light blue shape came from my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  The sentiment came from Pink By Design's Crikey Stamp Set.  I got the twine from Pink By Design's Divine Twine Sample Pack. The background came from Pink By Design's Bubbly Background Stamp, and I used a second-generation stamping technique to get a very subtle background pattern.  Here's a little video to show how I did it:

Here's a close up of the background.  It looks REALLY subtle here, but you can see it more easily in person.  I really like how it looks like water. :)

Well, I hope you like my little card and video.  I'm hoping to make videos more often so it will come more natural for me.

By the way, Pink By Design is having a Design Team Call right now.  You can get all of the information here.  You have until January 25th to submit your application, so I hope you'll consider trying it out.  We'd love to see what you can do. :)

Galactic Birthday

Happy Monday, everyone!  It's my Pink By Design day, and I can't wait for you to see what I created!!  Hee, hee!  Here it is!

I also made a video to show you how I made this 5.75" square easel card.  It's a little long, but I had a lot to fit into the video.  I hope you enjoy it, though.  Here it is:

The sentiment for this card came from Pink By Design's Animated Greetings 3 stamp set.  It was a new release for June.  I really love this Animated Greetings series!

I'm just super happy about how this card turned out!  I just think it's so cute...I hope you do, too!

By the way, I hope you've checked out the Pink By Design Blog.  Projects are posted daily and there's an awesome Community where you can share your own projects and join in on some fun challenges.  I hope you'll go visit and become a follower today. :o)

Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

What Videos Would You Like to See?

So, I had a lot of fun doing my first little video to answer Lisa's embossing question.  I'd love to try my hand at some more, but I really don't know what you guys might want to see me do.  Does anyone have any ideas?  I'd love to hear them...so leave a comment letting me know what you'd like to see.  Thanks!

My First Video

Hi, everyone!  If you're looking for my Fantabulous Cricut post for this week, click here.

Someone asked a question about the embossing I did on the invitations from the Pool Party Blog Hop, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to do a video.  This is my first, so it's not the greatest...but I have to start somewhere, I guess. :o)  I will say that I had no idea that my voice can be so high-pitched and squeaky!  I wonder how my husband can stand it! ;o)  Anyway, here's my video...I hope you enjoy it!

Also, I've been so bad...I haven't had a chance to post that these loveley ladies passed on the Cricut-tastic award to me.  Thanks, Pat from Pat's Scraps and Jessica from Chick-n-Scrap!  Please go check out these ladies' blogs...they have such SUPER cute projects! :o)
